Desperate Battle Part 1

Huron felt a chill run up his spine. A creeping fear turning his heart cold. Duth felt amused. This is a normal to mankind, fear first, terror next and then.. Death. Although he was being hypocritical, he didn't ponder on it enough to care. Only he faltered, there was a slight shift in the atmosphere. Huron's eyes turned just as cold and murderous. The fear bled away, replaced by a look Duth did not believe he would see in this day and age, look of determination, and defiance. Not something he expected. Especially from an adventurer within this city. Hurons voice seemingly deepened and spoke again "You three support the others. This one, is mind"

The fighters that were behind him split off without a word. They felt an unprecedented commanding tone of that kind left no room for discussion.

Huron cracked his neck, before his muscles bulged. He inhaled a deep gale. The air pressure weighs down on the lich. He felt the mental pressure excluding off of him as he inhaled. His soul vision blinded from the miniature sun bursting in front of him. The intensity grew until he began to exhale!

BOOM!

!!!

Duth crouched and dived left. Narrowly being shattered into a billion bits! Even still he was blown aside as the ground beneath him crumbled under that strike! The warhammer rebounded as cobblestones kicked up a small tidal wave. He caught a glimpse of Huron's eyes. They were locked to his own!

Huron spun on heel bringing it down from above!

BOOOM!

Crack!

Duth slammed his hand into the ground twisting him to face Huron and plant himself on his feet, before pacing back as the warhammer cracked the ground before rebounding, Huron regardless of the shock stomped forward, forcing Duth back again, just in time for a few skeletons to shoot past him with blades in hand.

"Out Of My Way"

He side swiped his warhammer blasting the skeletons into bits, almost as if they got blasted away by unrelenting force!

His warhammer hummed a trickle of electrical arcs sparking off the weapon before lightning zipped throughout the skeletal bodies, shattering them!

'No wonder! He isn't feeling the shock of his weapon because of its enchants!'

Duth paced again, as Huron followed!

[Bone Trap]

[Bone Trap]

[Bone Trap]

[Bone Trap]

Twelve jagged bones broke from the ground, many stabbing at irregular angles!

Eyes flashing he stomped to a dead stop, a thuum rippled out from him! He spun his warhammer down!

KashhhBooom!

Lightning humming down the pole, amplified as it struck the ground. Sending a series of bolts spiraling out, shattering nine of the spikes with snaking lightning. Remaining three nearly reached him, he let go of the warhammer, both his hands shooting out catching two before the last slammed into the back of his plate hard enough to make him stumble forward. The plating buckled and dented.

Seeing an opportunity, Duth shot up both hands and cast [Fire Missile] twice!

Two flaming bolts of reddish orange arrows shot out. Forcing Huron to grip his warhammer in one hand. Drawing it out to his left as he fell into the fire missiles. A grin spread across his face as his left leg slid up. As to put him in a position for a lunge attack!

A shield flickered across his front! Both arrows fizzled out from the sudden appearance. With the shield still glowing he shot towards Duth bringing up his warhammer from left to right in an uppercut. The winds howled around the blade as an illusion of thunderclouds thuumed with thunder and clapped with arcing lightning!

Duth paced back bringing down his right skeletal hand to block the oncoming strike!

Pusihh! CRACK! BOOOOM!

"GUH!"

Duths right hand shattered up into bone shards, lightning tracing up his arms shattering it up until the shoulder! Huron gripped his warhammer with both hands bringing it down with building arcs of lightning.

Duth pushed himself back quickly, before the warhammer struck the ground with a thunder clap! The ripple threw him four meters back, before lightning arced after him, he hit the ground before rolling away from the crackling lightning!

Aside from a few hitting his ribs and vaporizing them he lived. Though his HP and MP were dangerously low at this point!

Huron slowly lifted his Warhammer, smiling at the Lich. Duth casted [Fire missile] again the moment he gained two Mp! On top of his remaining two Mp. Huron's grin did not vanish, the flame missile struck him, instead to Duths dismay. It fizzled out as a shield materialized. Only small victory was the shield crackling and slowly crumbling. Fading into wisp. A ring on Huron's left hand dimmed before going out.

Huron slowly raised his left hand in return, as Duth realized.. There were two rings. A visible layer of mana began to gather at the forefront of his hand. As Huron spoke one word in Arcane to which Duth paled whiter than bone.

"Fireball"

Duth stared at the building inferno contained in a one meter diameter ball!

MMM! THUUUUM!

The entire block was engulfed in an inferno, a pillar of flame much smaller than the rising dead roared to the skies before slowly dissipating!

Huron grinned madly. That must've got him!

He rested the humming warhammer on his shoulder. However as the debris began to settle he frowned before his smiled dropped completely..

A Death knight stood in front of the Lich, its helm staring dead at Huron, a crimson hue beyond it glaring with deathly determination!

However it wasn't the Death knight that dropped his smile.. It was who the Death Knight held in its hand. The large gauntlet gripped their head easily, even saving it from the scorching inferno, but the body was chard and dry beyond recognition..

Tur coughed barely alive. He was surely to die, he smiled weakly at Huron before the Death Knight crushed his head and tossed the corpse aside! The knight had deep gashed in its body and armor. Likely taking note of the situation and taking fatal damaged to save its king. The Knight spoke slowly, a demonic tone that whispered and roared at the same time. "Blood for blood, Bone for Bone. Skulls.. For the Skull Throne!" The knight drew up its blade as Huron eyes glazed over as the death and smile of his friend seared itself into his mind.
