Desperate Battle Part 2

Duth slowly rose to his feet, glancing at his Hp and Mp as they regenerated slowly.

It is clear he needed levels, or a few spells would put him on empty easily. 'Nearly kill him, but do not end him. I wish to execute him myself'

The knight did not respond, but he felt its agreement. It too was aware of the system.. The dead knew of it, but could not see it or interact with it. He wasn't sure how they were aware, but perhaps its the aura of the Gatekeeper that they can subtitly pick up.

That said, the knight lunged at Huron. Who had not truly registered the situation yet. The knight brought its wicked blade down, Huron's Warhammer chimed. Before the knight met resistance, Huron glaring up whilst his hand gripped the deadly side of the blade. Blood trailing down its edge, before the Knight knew it Huron spartan kicked its knee, breaking bone and armor alike. The knight fell, before its torso caved in as the warhammer slammed into it, forcing the knight back with snaking lightning shooting holes into the knight's body before snaking out of another and continuing the attack. The Knight fell, its body being shredded by lightning before its soul faded away. Bones spilling across the ground, alongside old and damaged armor.

Another Death knight had effectively fallen. Before Huron gritted out a line. "Blood for blood, bone for bone, skulls for the skull throne you son of a bitch"

He turned his ire on Duth, who stared astounded that a second knight had fallen to an adventurer! Clearly they were another breed from the normal of fighters! He felt his own mana boil, the two staring daggers. Even if both of their kind fell in battle and not in a wrongful manner, it was still wrong in their eyes and that's all that mattered!

Whilst both Huron and Duth began their second bout of battle which most of the battlefield steered clear of. Things were not looking good for the adventurers in general. The fourteen  that engaged the undead army had fallen to nine with many of them being archers. Half of which had to change to secondary means to join the front. Whilst the 6 that engaged the knights were not looking so well, Tur had already fallen due to the friendly fire of a direct fireball blast. Of course its conditions were out of their control and even Huron who didn't think a knight be near enoigh to pull that off. Let alone do so with fatal damages to boot. Granted it was the dead and they were used to fighting smart undead nor thinking about the implications that fighting things that are supernaturally standing, do not fall easily, even if 'fatal' wounds are being dealt. The zombies proved difficult, the skeletons somewhat easy with those wearing armor a little harder.

Sophia was pushed back considerably, being alive only because a cleric was helping her. She did much damage to the knights, but it was the cleric that really gave the knights the willies. Especially because divine light is very damaging to them, let alone a weapon and person bathed in it.

Q on the other hand was surrounded, even if two fighters joined to beat them back he was losing out on stone giants quickly and the elementals could only keep so many back. He even summoned a tornado of stone, but doing so only protected himself. Give another minute and he will be tapped out of mana, if he pushes himself on the usage, maybe two minutes.

Shink! Boom!

A stone giant fell to pieces to his left, before a glimpse of a knight appeared just beyond his stone tornado. Unfortunately he lost sight of it soon after. Q glanced side to side. "Guys i lost sight of-" a shadow loomed over him. Growing quickly.

!!!

Q looked up just as he swallowed a wicked blade, under it came out the other in like a bloody shishcabob. The knight had used the rocks as a very tricking spinning wall until it reached the top and fell on the summoner!

Life drained from the eyes swiftly as the mana that kept all the spells growing broke and fell apart, the tornado fell, so did each stone giant. Until the knight who killed Q saw the carnage. Both fighters who helped Q were already slain, before the summoner knew it.

Whilst they had already tried breaking the rocky tornado by going through, it didn't work, going under wasn't plausible.. But above? That had friction.

Four out of the six were down, both Sophia and the Cleric realized they were in a pickle and a hard place.

"Do you understand the ritual to undergo a paladin?"

Sophia shook her head as she was back to back with the cleric. "No"

"Follow my prayer and do not falter!"

She frowned but seeing as the knights were careful she nodded.

"Hear me Goddess of Light, let your songs reach my dreams and my intent yours!"

The cleric spoke, and so did Sophia, whilst the remaining knight came to the two knights. Preparing to dismantle the cleric as they were a massive threat!

"Let our wicks add to your blaze, our hearts of passion light the torches of your path. Bless us with ethereal might for we shall be your blades in dark times and shields when you call upon us!"

Sophia fept an unprecedented might flood in, whispers of warriors amongst the great halls of heaven rumbled. Her blades chimed and her body glowered. "You have 1 hour.." A voice whispered to her. She knew that she wasn't worthy of the path. But if she used her time to slay the dead to which should sleep then perhaps the goddess will show the right way. Regardless if she dies here or lives on!

Six knights surrounded them, each brandishing their blades.

"See you on the otherside"

The cleric spoke before slamming their staff down! A band of light rippled out, searing the knights who lunged in!
