Jason's birthday

Agnes stood up and intended to approach Gabby. "You, why—"

Before she could finish, she saw Gabby stepping quickly up the stairs. The woman just frowned and then sat back on the sofa.

Gabby opened the door to her bedroom, closed it slowly, then leaned her back against the door. She bit his lower lip and felt her face turn red.

"I like you, Gabby."

The cold, stupid voice kept ringing in Gabby's ears. She rubbed her face, took a deep breath, and walked over to her desk. Maybe that stupid voice would disappear once she occupied herself with studying.

As if bewitched, Gabby opened her backpack, and pulled out a laptop. Her right hand opened her drawer, took out her writing pad and exercise book.

For 10 minutes, Gabby's fingers were busy dancing on the keyboard.

"I like you, Gabby."
