As it was typical of a game of paintball, the teams entered the field from different places so as not to discover where the team's flag was.

I knew this court like the back of my hand but even so the flag was never in the same place.

"Are you ready ?" Andre asked over the loudspeaker system.

Lena had drawn up a fanned out plan with controlled lines, i four would advance progressively and quietly into rival territory while two remained in charge of the flag.

Claudia and Sean were the flag's last line of defence while Lewis and Mason were in first, leaving Lena and me the centre line of the three we had set out on.

I hid behind one of the rocky formations that were scattered around the field, waiting to see one of the yellow armbands of the rival team. It wasn't long before the classic sound of guns being fired began to be heard.
