Adley's pov
I was walking along the streets lane market as I was shopping some stuff for me . when I hear 'ethena get those too ' I jolt towards the sound of the voice to find a girl talking to some one I face palm myself at my silliness. Ethan thats all has been in mind since last 5 days, he left my apartment suddenly out of nowhere, without telling me ,he hasn't come to university since then, he isn't answering my calls or messeges. It's just like he disappeared into thin air.
'Who says girls are complicated? Coz boys are worse! ' I can't understand what's with this boy. He was all happy and all of a sudden he is gone missing.
"I swear I'm gonna whip him up If he doens't have a proper reason " I mumble

I look where I heard the loud shrike came from.
"I'm sorry! Miss....but-.hajj. ...."
I see a middle aged woman's fell figure on the ground as a bicyclist is laying a bit àway from her.
"You youngsters don't have any care about pedestrians safety, you wait! A ah ha! " the woman rages at the cyclist as she winces in pain. The cyclist runs off with his bicycle afraid she could report him.
The woman is struggling to get to her feet às she got some bruises on her. I rush to help the lady,as she isn't that far from me.
" let me help you miss! "I put her arms around my shoulders and lift her up from the ground.
" Thank-you sweetheart !ashhhh! I think I just fractured my hand a bit "she says giving me a tight smile as she is trying to collect her bags scattered on the ground.
"Mam!let it be! I'll take your bags, just tell me where is your home I'll get you till there "I say smiling at her reassuringly.
"That would be great honey! "She says as her eyes crinkle as she smiles.
"No problem just don't put pressure on your sore hand"
We both walk towards her house as she gives me the direction.
"So...what's your name sweetie? "
"Its adley! "
"So adley ,ur from here?"
"Umm no!I'm just here until my university is finished, I'm actually from the south "
"Oh!so you live here alone?"
"Yeah all by myself "
"Nice!which university do you go to? "
"Im a litreture major at -"
"My house is here! Can you get those bags till the kitchen for me ? "
" sure"
Her house looks decent, she opens her house door and gestures me to come in. "I'm home kids!"she shouts as she moves in to the kitchen.
"Thank you so much ..adley! "She says taking my hand squeezing it in a adoring manner.
"No worries ma'am! It's totally fine "
"Wait ill get you something to eat,take the seat "she gestures me to sit at the dinning table. I hear some shuffling coming from upstairs.
She comes in with a pastry and cold drink,struggling with her one hand. "Would the cold drinks be fine for you? " she asks
"Yeah! Totally!"
She nods smiling and tries to pour the juice into the glass with one hand..
"I'll help myself madam you sit down dont stress your hand" I say As I gently take the bottle from her.
She nods with a apologetic look.
shufflings and thuds are again heard from upstairs.i look at her "so I guess it's your kids upstairs.?"I ask
"Yeah! My husband works in abroad and I have a son-..."
"Oohahh"I get startled by sudden fluff ball rubbing it self on my leg.
I look down to melt heart at its fluffy cute face...."awwwww"

"And thats pudy!!my sons pet dog"she says
"Pudy?!haha."I chuckle at the cute name,as I caress the puppy
The puppy gives its owner a curious look rotating around her and rolling on its stomach!
"Ohh pudy is hungry?....dear lord its already past 7...I haven't to prepared food for the kids!!its going to be even more hard now!"
She says to herself.
I feel bad for her,she has a fractured her hand,and now she has to Cook too!.she called me to her home and served me snacks.I could help her abit right,the college is off tomorrow anyway.
"If you don't mind!!I want to help you with the dinner today!"
"No! Uhum its-"
"Its ok!it won't take long I'll just help you out,not a problem I don't have anything to do"
"But it would worry your parents!"
"I live by myself!its ok! I insist!" I say as I grab her her hand assuring her
"Sorry for the bother honey! But really thank you!"she says with sad eyes!
"Its ok!!I love cooking and also I could play with this little pudy more for the time being"I say scratching the puppy under its chin as it's enjoying it.
"Okay then lets get started"

We were done with the dinner I was helping her in arranging the table.
"Your cooking skills are too good for a teenager Adley"
"Thankyou!its because my mom is a great cook"
"Oh!I see! Is she a house wife!?"
"No! she runs a cafe of her own!"
She nods humming to herself.
I remove my apron ahe gave me before and hand it to her as I say "alright I'll get going!its getting late already"
"What are you talking about Adley!! your not going anywhere without having dinner"
"Thats ok! ma'am,maybe some other time,"
"No!no! Your staying for the dinner!I'm not letting you no where with empty stomach after you helped me this much!full stop!"
"Okay...!"I say as nod smiling agreeing to her
"I'm sorry! but can you do me a one last favour Sweetie!?"
"Sure"
"Could you call the boys from upstairs while I finish up with this?"
She says setting water glasses on the table
"Ok!"I agree not thinking much about it!
"Its the first room from upstairs!"she says
I give her a thumbs up as I make my way up the stairs as I see a door with a "pro gamer" poster on it!I chuckle to myself.at it!
I gently knock on the door,no reply!, knock again abit more harshly as I hear a groan and a small voices coming from inside "go get the door little man" "no!I'm not going and I'm not little!!"...,and another groan and shuffling.
Before I could move away from the door the door opens wide reveling a tall young figure!
"Adley!?what you doing here?????"he says with over shocked face
"Ethan?! But you said you don't have siblings?!" I ask bewildered as I see small little guy hanging on Ethan's shoulders.
"That's what you got to ask ?"he says with mouth agape.
I blink .
"Umm! Yes! Uh hi!!how are you!?" Ha??whut? what am I asking?

He just stares at me.
"Hi!!I'm fine! Nice seeing you" says the little guy hanging on ethans shoulder with a cheeky smile but it fades quickly as ethan glares at him and then me.
"Sshshh!jorgee!"
