Because of his thirst for revenge Jace was chosen by vengeful spirits who wanted their deaths avenged,and they all came together and gave him extraordinary powers,so on his own he was going to reveal the secrets and bring an end to those that killed them....and this was gonna happen "Whether jace likes it or not"
