Chapter 10: Lucy Heartfilia

I can see all the eyes in the room lighten with a bit of happiness. Natsu's face is priceless.

"Lucy, so do all your tattoos connect to your magic?" Levy asks, finally talking again.

"Yeah, but I can do tens times more. There is so much that don't have matching tattoos," I answer. Levy looks relieved.

"I am so happy you're back. Even if you are not exactly how I remember you," Levy shouts as she hugs me.

"I am glad to be back as well, I really missed this place."

"I can't believe it has been three whole years since we all last saw you," Levy starts to shake like she is crying. "Why would you do this to us?"

I just look at her. "I never meant to hurt you, I just wanted to get stronger."

"I believe that I speak for everyone here when I say, don't ever walk away and tell no except Gramps where you are going. Especially for three years," Gray pipes up.

"Now, children. I am sure that some of you would have done the same thing. Let us not forget that she came back to us today, she never forgot about us. Three years is a long time and she still returned when I know that they asked her to continue her training and stay there with them," Gramps says, trying to get them to stop hounding me about leaving them all for so long. He understands that I only did that so no one would tell me not to go. I really just wanted to get stronger.

"Master, I get that. I do, but she just disappeared. She never even come to tell us in person. Not even the day that she was leaving," Erza spouts.

"You all would have told me not to. So, why should I have told you?" I say and she looks over to me. A look of shock sits on her face. I guess my tone is a bit harsher than when I came in.

"Lucy, is it even you?" Natsu asks. Everyone looks at him like 'Why did you have to ask?'

"Oh my lord! I am sorry I am different, people change. Maybe I should just go back. I might never be welcomed back the way you were, Natsu. Don't you all see how you are treating me. Like I am someone who is against you. Fairy Tail is my home. You are all my family. Sabertooth, Blue Pegasus, Mermaid Heel, Lamia Scale; you all are my family too. I just can't believe that you all would doubt why I come back. Especially you, Natsu! Lord, what do I have to do. It has been three whole years; you have no idea what I have had to go through or do to be able to stay alive and come back. The old me never would have made it back alive. I had to change!" I scream and walk out of the Guild Hall.

I run down the roads and pay no attention to where I am going. When I finally stop, I realize that I am standing right in front of my first apartment building.

"Lucy, Let's go on an adventure," Natsu had said when we went to find Aquarius.

"Okay Natsu, but what have I told you about coming through the window," I answer with a chuckle.

"But that is no fun," Natsu starts pulling me out of the apartment.

I almost forgot about some of those moments. I really have changed a lot. I almost wish I had never changed.
