A fast and loud heartbeat can be heard near Sora who is breathing unevenly, having huge bead of sweat forming all around his body. He slowly reaches out towards the doorknob.

The unlocked with a little bit of twist, Sora was afraid to even breathe much less open the door. Afraid that maybe the thing that he thought might be true, afraid that he will not be able to cope with any of that.

But he resolves himself saying in his heart that whatever comes may come and he'll deal with them one by one. He slowly pushed the door open. But the room was... empty?

"Sora?" An unknown voice questioned behind him.

But Sora felt it extremely familiar, Tears dripped down his face as snot started to fall from his nose. Of course, how could he ever forget that voice, he's the one the dragged his nearly lifeless body just to bring him up and get him cleaned and well-fed. 'Father' Sora thought.

Sora turned around not even wiping the snot and tears and dropped down on his knees to the level of his dad on a wheelchair, he bowed his head down and hugged his father's frail body.

Sora was lying his head in his father's chest and remembered just how much he loved him, his father has guided him through all the tough years both being a father and a mother to him. He might not have appreciated that when he was a child but now he felt really in debt. He once again strengthened his resolve.

"SORA!" Chifuyu can be heard behind Sora, He didn't even look back and just kept hugging his father.

Chifuyu who was facing Sora's father was about to say something when Sora's father shook his head at her and patted Sora for comfort.

"Now now, you look like a crybaby. I heard from Chifuyu you have a girlfriend for the past month, why didn't you tell me?" Sora's father questioned in a gentle voice, both soothing and calming at the same time.

Sora looked up to his father and slowly got up from his hug and scratch the back of his head, turned back to Chifuyu, and glared at her on which she just shrugged and let out a grin.

"Father, you see. I was planning to surprise you when your birthday comes, you know to show you how I have grown as a man." Sora said with a 'you know' expression, still scratching the back of his head.

"Ahh, but it seems like that surprise was ruined now HAHA, might as well bring her tomorrow right? So that I can get to know my future daughter-in-law." His father said on which Sora was sweating to the brim, to be honest, he was not really planning to bring Izumi to meet his father so soon.

"Alright if I get the chance, now father why are you outside your room didn't the doctor advised you to stay there and rest?" Sora said with concern.

"Well it time for my weekly checkup, so they got me to the room where they proceed to check my health on if it's improving or not." His father rebutted.

"Oh really? I thought..." Sora was about to say something but got it stuck on his throat.

"What?" his father questioned.

"Nevermind, C'mon I'll push you inside," Sora said and got behind his father's wheelchair, and pushed him inside the room.

Seeing this all Chifuyu just sighed and followed the father and son inside, they stayed there for a couple of hours just talking about mundane things, Sora saying his recent money-making success and how much he earned, his father nearly spat out the banana he was eating, while Chifuyu reminded him of all his debt to her. Sora just kept silent for a moment and burst out laughing.

After a while, a nurse got in their room to change his father's beddings and all the medicine stuff Sora just doesn't really know what they are. Chifuyu bid goodbye to them after that only Sora and his father were alone in the room.

"Sora."

"Hm?"

"Remember to always stay safe alright? Don't act so rashly now that you have all that money, remember to always keep your feet on the ground and held your head up high. Remember that."

"I will father."

"Now now, it's getting pretty late you should go home." His father said while watching the sunset on the horizon.

"Bye dad, take care, I'll bring Izumi here tomorrow," Sora said waving goodbye just as he was about to walk out the door.

"Our son has grown to be a man, isn't he Kure?" His father said continuing to watch as the sun fades on the horizon.

Sora was just about to get on a taxi when he saw an odd transparent thing floating near a puddle he was curious and got near it ignoring the call of the taxi driver, he was about to touch the 'thing' when a boy jumped onto it and splashed the puddle of water everywhere, and onto his shirt.

"Sorry, I lost track of my child for a second." The mother of the child said sorry for Sora's wet shirt.

"No worries, it's fine." Sora waved his hand and watch as the mother scolded her son.

Sora doesn't care about that and looks back to where the puddle is, but the thing before was gone. He was pulled out of his trance when the cad driver honked, causing him to jolt a little.

"Hey, dude not all people got time to watch a puddle of water!" The cab driver said.

Sora quickly steps inside the cab and gave the driver the destination. He was still pondering the thought of the thing because he saw it that last time inside his backyard. Now here that thing surely isn't purely his imagination, at first he thought he just lacks sleep but now that his fully awake and didn't even stress his body on any activity.

'Surely that's not a hallucination, right? I haven't even tried any drugs in my life neither did I stress myself so much on things. Okay, calm down, left observe a little more if that thing pops out again for the third time I will delve deeper into it.' He thought.

"Were here." The driver said, Sora got out and paid the cab fare.

'But just to make sure I'll do some research,' he thought, getting to ever slightly curious.
