Chapter 6 (Sad Ending)

I hear him scream as I hit the pavement with a loud crack, but I soon slip from this world. I know that they will be able to continue without me.

The Letters:

To Alya,

You truly were my best friend, I am sorry to leave you all by yourself but I need the pain to stop. I am glad that in my final days, you have stayed by my side. Thank you for making the pain a little more bearable. I hope that you and Nino live a long and happy life, and I hope that when you think of me it will be the great things that happened. I know that I will be smiling as I die, because I will think about all of you. I can already picture you all in a great life.

So, when you look back to this letter and tell you kids about the days you enjoyed with me. I hope that you can understand why I had to do this.

Your Best Friend,

Marinette

To Nino,

Thank you for everything through the years that I have known you. I hope that you marry Alya and that you can be happy when you think of me in the future. I want you to be able to smile when others talk about me. I hope that when you continue forward, you can understand why I did what I did.

Your Friend,

Marinette

To Mom and Dad,

I love you so much, I am sorry that I went before you. That you have to endure living longer than your child. I hope that you can stand and share all of you happy stories. May you continue to hear me upstairs working on new projects or my laugh when you tell some of your jokes. Maybe you will continue to hear me even though I am not really there. I hope that you can forgive me.

Your Daughter,

Marinette

To Adrien,

I know I told you that I loved you. I really do, but there will always be someone better than me. I will always love you, and be with you. I hope that you can forgive me the most. I am sorry that I couldn't do what you wanted me to do. I am sorry that we never will get married and have a family. I am sorry that you will never get to see me design another outfit and become the designer that I wanted to be. But most of all, I am sorry that I leave you in a world where I helped you but decided to take the easy way out myself. Live long, and smile. Do the things we should have done together and when you need to remember, look at the last thing I was able to give you. It may one day end up a tear stained letter, but I hope that you won't forget about me.

Love,

Marinette

Third Person POV

Life went by. At her funeral, everyone cried but no one more then the five that were there to watch her fall. Her mother took the stand first. She talked about how her daughter was bright and happy to the eye, but what no one knew is that she had tried once before to kill herself. Her father was the next one on the stand. He shared memories of her as a child and turned to her caskets which they had made sure to leave open as if she could hear them. Alya and Nino both took the stand but what surprised everyone was when Adrien took the stand last. He stood up there and poured everything out. Everything about how she was his girlfriend, and how she saved his life. He poured like they needed to know that what happened was his fault. The last thing that he mentioned was how he almost had her hand, but her finger tips grazed his as he reached out after her.

Alya and Nino got married a few years after graduating and had three kids. They had two boys, Adrien and Lucas, and one girl, Marinette. Alya became a fantastic journalist and Nino a DJ. And sitting in a drawer was the letters that Marinette wrote to them. They were wrinkled up from the amount of times that they would read them. Eventually they told their kids and spoke fondly about her. Alya lived to be almost eighty but got sick and passed. Nino lived to be ninty-six and he died of old age. Marinette became a advocate against bullying and self-harm. Adrien became a DJ and Lucas became a lawyer.

Adrien did get married and had a girl named Mare. Her mother left her. But when Adrien turned fifty, his daughter and him took a trip and got into a accident. He died while she live crippled. She was told about the woman her father fell in love with and held on to that letter she gave him. It became a heirloom. Mare became a famous fashion designer in her stead. She would die at the age of sixty thanks to a heart attack.

Her parents lived almost thirty-five more years and help raise the children that they knew their daughter would have love to meet. They died a few hours apart. They both contracted a severe cold and never got better.

Chloe and Lila eventually would wind up in prison. The rest would continue to suffer with out Marinette. The five that were there that day smiled everyday and thought about her so often that they would never stop talking about her with each other.

Marinette got to stand watch as a spirit. She was happy with how they ended up, but a part of her wished that she didn't jump. She smiled as each one of them joined them and the six walked away from the world forever, waiting up for the kids to follow.
