Conflicting thoughts [137]

"Where were you this whole time? You missed the most important part of the movie." Grace asked as we moved out of the hall along with other people when the movie ended.

"Yeah I guess I did." I responded without looking at her. I was lucky that inside it was still a little darker than the bright lights outside, because my face was holding up a taut expression.

I was angry but I wasn't sure what the cause was. Most probably it was Lucas but I still didn't blame him completely. He was not responsible for my frustration. I was annoyed because of how things always end up whenever I am with him. I had often tried to stay away from him but we had eventually ended up being side to side. And it was becoming hard to digest the fact that if I spend a bit more of a time around him then I might even develop more than just a random infatuation for him but he won't.
