Absence [223]

I unconsciously tilted my head a little backwards to know where I was falling. There was no ground. Just immense pool of darkness which was about to engulf me. Panic stricken I then tried to move myself against the gravity which seemed to be pull me into the realms of that eerie darkness.

Even though I was entirely aware I was in a dream, the thought of being eaten by that monstrous place shook me to the core. I couldn't resist but let the panic get the best of me. Above me was light and below me was just extremely gloomy murk which was welcoming my frail body.

My arms and feet moved but there was nothing I could hold on to and in those remaining minutes I felt like I would die before even meeting the ground of blackness. The light above me seemed to repel me as if I was a disgusting creature who should stay hidden in the dark rather than being a sour eye in the bright light.
