CHAPTER FIVE: The First Storm

"He's gonna tell my mom! Oh, what if they end up fighting because of me? I couldn't take that mess!" she talked to herself with a teary eye.

Luckily, they didn't fight, they remained calmed why talking to each other.

"Leave her." Marcus said.

"I won't, I love her." Gelvin replied.

A few minutes ago, they went their separate ways.

Marcus left given to go to Evangeline's mom; to reveal Evangeline's prohibited relationship with Gelvin and also their past relationship. He acted like an honest angel, but for Evangeline, all she sees is his hidden agenda.

"Of course! He's just jealous and hopeless. That's why he decided to reveal everything. He has nothing to lose!" She whispered to herself.

Evangeline is finally home. She tried so hard to hide her nervousness and acted like nothing happened; that nothing would happen. But the truth is, the fight started.

Her mom scolded her since she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend until she's 18 years old. She has strict parents and surroundings.

She's an honor student, a good daughter, a great person. She can do almost everything. That makes all the people around her expect so much with her.

She got eyes around her, waiting for her to have a mistake. Expectations caged her, tied her and made her forget how to be happy and free.

Then men came into her life and becomes her first mistakes. She tried so hard to hide those "flaws" while the truth is she's just a lady in love yet they acted as if she's a sinful lady.

So to be exact and straight to the point, her mother took her away from giving. She even scared her that if she go back to him, they'll no longer support her studies. She cried so hard and sent a message to break up with Gelvin as a proof to her mom.

But little did her mom know,

"Stay calm, I'll find a way. Just don't message me for now. Take care, I love you!" she secretly messaged him. Gelvin wanted to prove himself to her mom so he asked Evangeline if he could talk to her mom.

" Let me in, I'll talk to your mom, I'll tell her that I love you, that I can't leave you!" Gelvin begged.

" She doesn't want to talk to you, it's all messed up, she's so angry right now!"

Evangeline answered while crying.

" It's because of that guy, he destroyed me in your mother's mind." Gelvin said while wiping his tears away.

She's in pain and so is Gelvin. She didn't want to leave him behind closed doors, but she has to, at least for now. So she left him outside even though it's too painful for her too.

"I'm not gonna let this end this way, I can't!

I have to find a way to save the relationship that we just started. " She said to herself.

Loving should be normal to us since we have a heart. But for her, it seemed like it's the biggest mistake she could ever do. She's not a criminal----they're not criminals! Yet they have to hide. Maybe loving is a sin in the eyes who watched Evangeline become so perfect.

Talking back is not her game, but for the first time in her life; she decided to fight for her happiness.
