Next morning

Except Eva all the family members assembled in the living room.

"Mr. Bradfield, we confirm that your son was drowned and is no more" said the Police officer regretfully.

"How can you guys say he is dead, you guys not even found the body" said Mrs. Bradfield angrily.

"His body may be pulled into the water because of the whirlpools" answered the officer.

He showed a plastic cover in which there was a torn shirt with the blood spots on it and said "Your guards confirmed the shirt, but we need confirmation from the family"

"oh my god its Evan's" screamed Amber. Emily ran towards her mother and cried hugging her. The scream of the mother woke 2 year old Ethan and even he started crying loudly.

Amber could not help but take her son and eldest daughter close to her and cried badly.

Eva was awake when she heard the crying, she slowly walked to the living room and found all her family members are crying. She slowly walked to her father and touched his leg, the touch woke George from the shock and looked down to his second daughter who is asking what happened with her eyes. He slowly shook her away walked to police officer and signed the documents.

Police officer and his team walked away but the officer turned back and looked at Eva, he could not help but feel sorry as he saw her father's coldness towards her.

Not getting an answer from her father, Eva went to her mother and touched her, feeling the touch Amber raised her head and saw her four-year-old daughter. Anger filled her and she pushed the girl, the push was awfully hard that Eva with her weak strength fell.

"Amber, what did you just do" shouted Mrs. Bradfield

Amber remained silent

Hunter ran towards Eva checked for wounds before holding her in his arms.

Eva could not understand anything. She placed her hands on either side of Hunter's face and turned his head towards her and asked

"Uncle Hunter where is Evan?"

Hunter was thinking in his head about how to answer, but before he could say Amber spoke coldly "You killed Evan".

Her words shocked everybody including George

Hunter felt Eva's hands loosen on his face, he turned to her. Seeing her panic, he felt pain in his heart, her eyes were full of tears and her expression showed both shock and pain.

"Amber stop this" shouted Mrs. Bradfield

"He got washed away and drowned to death because of you" said Amber angrily

"For God sake stop this, how can you say this to a four-year-old and that to your own flesh and blood" said Mrs. Bradfield coldly

"Mother, Evan is also only four years old" Amber said with trembling voice.

"George why are you silent, stop her" said Mrs. Bradfield

George remained silent

"Don't tell me even you think the same, it's an accident how can you blame her" said Mrs. Bradfield angrily

Totally ignoring his mother words George walked his wife, Emily and Ethan to their room.

Mrs. Bradfield helplessly walked to Eva and said "You have done nothing; it was just an accident"

Eva held Hunter's shoulders tightly and whispered, "so it was not a dream", slowly tears started to fall, she buried her head in Hunter's neck and started crying loudly.

Hunter could not take it, he held her tightly and let her cry, seeing her wailing even the mighty Hunter has tears.

Eva fell asleep in his arms after crying.

"Does she think what happened was a nightmare" asked Hunter

"May be" answered Mrs. Bradfield

Hunter tucked Eva into the bed, bowed to Mrs. Bradfield and walked to the door to resume his work but he stopped at the door and said

"Evan was brave and selflessly saved her, she is not responsible for his choices"

Then he left without waiting for reply. His words stunned Mrs. Bradfield.
