Next morning
As Eva opened her eyes and looked around, she saw her grandma standing at the window.
"Grandma" she called out
Her grandma walked to her and caressed her face gently, feeling the warmth of the hand she suddenly remembered yesterday's things and tears stared to fall.
Mrs. Bradfield wiped her tears and asked "what was your dream"
Initially Eva gave a confused look but later started narrating her dream
"In the dream both me and Evan were playing on riverbank, when Emily came and wanted to join but we….. we disagreed so out of anger she threw my plastic bucket in the water. I walked into the water to get my bucket but suddenly water pressure increased, Evan ran towards me to pull me out but…. but we both got washed away. Evan held us by tree uncle Hunter rescued me I… I lost Evan, he washed away. He got stuck in a tree, his shirt got ripped and ….. and he hurt his hand."
Eva's dream surprised Mrs. Bradfield, it was exactly what was happened but how come she dreamed about of shirt being ripped and he is being hurt, later she thought may be child's imagination got added.
But Mrs. Bradfield underestimated the power of the connection between the twins.
Almost two weeks Eva tried to speak with her family, but no one replied even her younger brother was kept away from her. The small Eva wanted to hug her mother, cry and complain but alas her mother avoided her like a curse.
She thought if she goes missing, they will get worried and find her, scold her, hug her and forgive her. To get this done she hid herself in cupboard, but after waiting for so long it was so boring that she fell asleep.
In Mrs. Bradfield Study
Loyal servant and friend of Mrs. Bradfield Rosie who was on holiday joined now.
"why don't you take her in Julia" said Rosie
"No, I can't she is not orphan she has father, mother and siblings, they will eventually accept her" said Mrs. Bradfield
Rosie sighed
There was knock
Rosie opened the door and found the anxious Hunter
"What happened" she asked
"Madam Eva is missing, please help me find her" said Hunter hurriedly
"What!! How can she go out?" asked Rosie anxiously
"No, she is still inside the villa, I checked with the guards" said Hunter
"let's get divided and find her" said Mrs. Bradfield
Mrs. Bradfield knocked on his son's bedroom
Amber opened the door with Ethan in her arms, after Evan's death she became weak she hardly ate anything.
"mother.." said confused Amber
"Eva is missing" shouted Mrs. Bradfield so that her son could listen and come out but alas Amber stood blankly and there was no sign of George
Mrs. Bradfield glared at Amber and left. These guys now crossed her bottom line.
Amber got scared by her glare but brushed it away and closed the door.
Rosie was searching the terrace and few guards are searching the first-floor rooms. Hunter went to storeroom and started opening cupboards while shouting Eva's name. Hearing her name Eva woke up and felt happy that her family is searching for her. Finally, Hunter opened the cupboard where she hid and gave a sigh of relief.
He saw her anxiously looking around him, then he understood that she did it intentionally, her act made him both angry and sad, but anger overpowered.
He took her out of cupboard, held her in his arms and said "Stop looking nobody is here"
He slowly took her to bedroom and the entire walk was silent. He knows that she was hurt but he doesn't have words to console her small soul.
When they reached the bedroom door, Eva touched Hunter's face which made him look at her.
By looking at her he knows she is barely stopping her tears from falling.
Eva asked, "Uncle Hunter even you hate me?"
Her words caused pain in his heart
"No and I will never hate you" said Hunter firmly
Listening to his words her tears started to fall but she got a smile on her face. She hugged him by encircling her arms around his neck.
Both Rosie and Mrs. Bradfield who were on their way to Eva's room heard the conversation, understandingly they left the two alone and walked back to the study.
Hunter held her till she is asleep and tucked her into the bed.
