Chapter Ninety-six

"Why are your eyes swollen and red? Have you been weeping your eyes out, child?" Cordelia asked as she slanted her head to the right where she could get a better view of Gracie since she hid behind the door, popping half of her body out.

Gracie looked down to her feet as her fingernails scratched the painted wooden door. She wouldn't be telling Cordelia that she was crying about… meaning things. So, she opened the door wider and invited her in.

Cordelia suspected that something was wary about the little lamb she accommodated, "You," she originated a communication as she treaded inside the room. She looked round the room, it was her first time in bedroom, Countess said she prepared the room well, she just didn't imagine it was as good as this. From the cozy cushion that one could doze off to the blue theme of the room, the white flooring, sky blue ceiling and the blue fading into white wallpaper.
