The Duke's Unavoidable Attraction

I don't understand what the man was trying to do, or why he was so avid to crush the temple, but he didn't even leave a trace for me to follow him. Not even my shadows were able to get inside that strange door.

The people surrounding the temple were already dead and their shadows were now being subdued by my mind. However, those in the temple didn't believe me when I told them that I was not going to harm them.

"Stop it!" I shouted at the knights and the temple priest that was attacking me with light enchantments. "Can you stop?"

I had to send my darkest shadow to knock out the priest for a brief moment.

"He is just sleeping, I swear," the crying voices and shouts from the people inside were making me feel guilty. "The roads are clear for now, but you should move towards the capital of Crotia, the army should be focusing on protecting it. Ask the priest to guide you through the underground tunnels. They should be safe for now."
