chap 15 to the mountains

" Well are we going?" I ask the two as they shake their head " Sure lets go." trey says " Where are you going?" Jackie asks " Blue ridge why?" silena answers " I'll take you i have business up there." Jackie grabs a set of car keys and leads us to the car as trey runs and tells the cab he can go then climbs in the car as Jackie drives us towards the mountain " So what monster you hunting for Zachary?" she ask as we hop back on the highway " Griffins Lady Artemis asked me to hunt a pack of them that was causing problems for the locals." she nods as silena taps my shoulder " We shouldn't-" she starts to say but Jackie cuts her off " Honey I know all about the supernatural I call see things as they are I knew Zachary's father was zeus but he asks be to keep quiet so I did." she says " You knew and you didn't tell me." I say looking down " He said it would help keep you safe and to be far it did for monsters just nod your mother." she says before telling all my embarrassing moments to trey and silena as we make our away to the mountain.

A few hours later

" Ok heros here we go the blue ridge mountains and if you need them there is a dirt bike rental round the corner zach you know Shawn he runs the place now." I nod and we thank her as we climb out. " We should probably find a motel we have only a hour before sun down." trey says silena and I nod as we start walking till we find bump into someone " Watch it you little--- oh sorry kids." the man says " Its ok sir but can you point us to a motel?" silena asks as his eyes slightly glazes off " Yeah there is the Brookstone lodge i hear its a good place. Walk down that way alittle ways then take the right and the road will take you to it." He says pointing in a direction we thank him and walk away and after a hour of walking we come to hotel.

" Whoa!" trey and silena say as I drag them in the door and up to the counter " Good evening you lot what can I help you with?" the lady asks I nod " we need two rooms three nights." she rings it up and I hand her my card then she hands use the room keys " Room 236 and 237." she says handing back my card as I take the keys " Thank you love." I drag tray and silena to the elevator" Ok you two wake up." I say as the elevator closes and moves to our floor " silena you have one room me and trey share." I explain the plan for tomorrow as we are to ask around for information on where the nest might be then the next we would hunt.

later the next day

" Ok what news do we got?" I ask as we sit down in a restaurant after placing a order " I got nothing." trey says as he slumps back as I nod while silena laughs "Well these southern girls sure love to talk basing what they say the bodies where found just outside the parkway one of them is a ranger she said that she has been hearing weird noises from a old trail but only a bike can get up the trail." Trey and I look at her " How did you get this info." trey asks " I just went to the local coffee shops and the nail salon." trey rolls his eyes " What ever works but if the the griffins are up some old trail then arrows will be the best way to pick them off but that wouldn't work in our favor." Silena and I nod in agreement " Silena could you charm speak the creatures if so you could give trey a clear shot at them i could help keep you cover with my shield and spear." I say as trey thinks it over while he is thinking our drinks arrive " Yea that could work if we are careful." trey says as silena crosses her arms " I don't need protection." I roll my eyes " I'm not saying that you can't fight I'm saying that since you would be the linchpin in the plan we will need to be careful." She mulls it over before nodding " Ok then well do your way the only thing is when." the waitress brings us our food.

"We could do it after lunch that way tomorrow we can relax since we are a head off schedule." I say as I cut a piece of steak off and they nod and we eat while planning our attack and after a while I pay the bill and we head to the dirt bike rental and walk in " Hey Shawn I hear you running the joint now?" I say as the man behind the counter smiles " Well look what the cat dragged in zach what can I do for you?" he says as he leans on the counter " we need dirt bikes." He nods " I have only two right now the rest I'm working on." I nod "We'll take them." he smiles and tosses me the keys " the room to the right and if you want to change use the the room beside it." He walks away " Ok we'll don't know how many I say armor up I have sets for you if you want it." I say as we walk to the bay "I'll be good you and silena should." trey says as silena hands him his bow and quiver. I nod and hand silena a set of armor that looks like mine but with a pink scarf. " That is a nice set." she says as she picks it up and walks in the next room to slip it on as I put on my armor while trey reads on how to work the bike after a few minutes silena walks out with her sword hooked to her waist.

I sit on one of the bikes and fire it up and revs the engine. " Come on trey." I call to him as he finally cranks his bike with a pale face " Silena who youwant to ride with?" I ask as she climb on my bike and warps her arm around my waist " Nothing stupid please." she says as her face goes red.
