Dusk and Dawn

Upon his return to Destra, Xura explained everything to Xerxes. She told him of the trouble that Sarah was in, she told him about finishing up with Michael to start their guild then Xura asked if she could use some of Xerxes money to move her family to the capital. Xerxes asked her to hand him the coin purse. He reached into the bag and gave Xura twenty gold pieces. "Take care of your family Xura, and if you need more I would be more than happy to help you. By the way how is Sarah doing?". "She is resting to regain some of the strength she lost from the binding contract, but I'm sure she is well enough to see you". "Very well I would like to speak with her". Xura went inside and told Sarah that Xerxes wanted to speak with her. She gave Sarah the new change of clothes that she had bought her and ran to tell her mother and younger brother to pack everything that they needed to move. Sarah changed her clothes and headed out of the house to meet the one who had saved her. Sarah hadn't gotten a good look at Xerxes, even during their little skirmish. When she saw his eyes she was not startled at all. "You must be a master of dark manipulation Xerxes". "You are not afraid of me?". "No! I like your eyes, but then again I'm a dark manipulator myself. We dark casters tend to like scarier things". Sarah said with a smile. "Come with me Sarah. We can talk on the way to the guild hall. I have some business there that I need to take care of". Sarah agreed to go with him. They walked and talked about everything that was going on. Sarah filled him in on the Serpents Fang, and everything that Xura had said about him. As they walked into the guild hall and up the stairs to Michaels office Xerxes reinforced what Xura had told her. The two entered the office and Michael stood in awe. "Sarah is that you?". "It's me master Michael". "I can't believe that you are here. How did you break away from the serpents contract crystal?". Sarah smiles and told him about the battle she had with Xerxes, and how he demolished the necklace. Meanwhile Xerxes had walked over to his desk and wrote a few things on his new guild registry. "Come Sarah we have other things we need to do". Sarah and Michael said their goodbyes and the two were off. "Now you are in the guild along with me and Xura. Is there any quest that you would like to tackle?". Sarah gave a little chuckle and said, "Xura says you're a God. So let's take on something worthy of a Gods power". "Then go and pick something you would like to complete and we will be on our way". Sarah ran over to the board as Xerxes went to the guild banker to open an account and deposit the four hundred and eighty gold coins he had left. Claiming it was the reward the king gave him for the wyvern quest.

Sarah ran back over to Xerxes dawning a large smile. "Here you go. Let's do this one". Xerxes took the paper from her and looked it over. "An unexplored ruin. This is what you want to do? I don't see how this will be much of a challenge". "Well Xerxes these ruins usually hold vast treasures and are normally guarded by powerful beasts. Which requires guilds to party up together and form what we call a raid group. If me, you, and Xura could take this on by ourselves I would believe that you are in fact a God". "Very well Sarah. Go inform Xura that we will be heading out in four days. I would like to give her time to move your mother and brother before we leave Destra. Also tell her that the name of the guild is Dusk and Dawn".

Sarah ran back home to tell Xura the news. While Xerxes headed out to the wood line to read the dust covered book he had received from the king. The book laid out the battles that took place to subdue the demon race, and how the most powerful human manipulators of each category of magic, know as the apostles, all cast powerful magic to create the catacombs and to place a sealed gate to the underworld where the race was imprisoned. Then he read a prophecy that would tell him how to release the seal. The book read, "when the blood of a God flows through the catacombs, and his body is given as a sacrifice to the underworld only then would the gate open again.
