Chapter 65: First Bloody Battle of the Dragon

It has already been an hour since Tian Yang walked inside the forest.

He couldn't just randomly run around because even if that place was beautiful like a paradise, dangers lurked everywhere.

Monster beast, big like him or tiny like one of his fingers, could be found everywhere.

So, he decided to proceed cautiously.

Actually, without Old Tian and the Heavenly Treasure Pearl, he felt a little lonely.

But a part of his heart was beating excitedly because the last time he did an adventure in a dangerous place alone was almost a thousand years ago, naturally before he met that old fart and his heaven defy treasure.

With that tiny paradise always at his side, it was almost impossible to meet a dangerous situation.

Naturally, he couldn't always stop his ardent desire and risked his life many times, but Old Tian's shouts and reproaches in the end still calmed that vehement wish.

And since he had a bit more liberties now, he decided to enjoy this little trip a bit.

The Forest of Life was undoubtedly one of the best places to experience those sentiments again.

Indeed after a few minutes, something approached him swiftly from behind.

SWOOSH!!

RUSTLE!!

Tian Yang felt the foliage in his surrounding moving.

Those noises were feeble, but he wasn't an average martial cultivator, so he detected them anyway.

His heart was already beating excitedly because he didn't perceive a hazardous presence from there but only a tiny monster beast with the power of a peak Martial King.

It was still a challenge for him, but not so arduous after all.

The enemy lurking in the shadow didn't let him wait too much.

Indeed, after following Tian Yang for a couple of minutes, he assaulted Tian Yang's back with all his power.

Naturally, Tian Yang already understood his intentions when he felt his murderous intent growing at its peak.

So, when it charged, he disappeared from his position and reappeared above the monster beast.

Tian Yang wasn't a merciful person against his enemy, so he punched its head at incredible speed.

BOOM!!

His punch hit its target, and the beast was sent flying to the ground, finally revealing its true form.

It was similar to a small fox, but its fur was colored with a particular green, which was a perfect match with this forest's foliage.

Tian Yang infused a lot of strength in that punch, and even with his dragon body, the difference between their powers was still a lot.

Indeed, the little fox landed to the ground calmly as if that punch wasn't too terrifying after all.

Since its sneak attack was quickly stopped, the monster beast acted a bit more cautiously, and instead of attacking again, it started observing Tian Yang carefully.

Tian Yang was quite surprised by its enemy intelligence and tough skin, so he spoke, with a broad smile: "Hehe... little foxy... your head is quite hard... should we try again?"

GRR!!

The fox growled, and when he saw Tian Yang walking toward him, he disappeared again in those verdant leaves, like a ghost.

Its speed was even faster than before, and Tian Yang's second punch missed his target this time.

"Little fox... where are you going??" Tian Yang laughed at its silly actions because even if its body was entirely concealed there, his ears could easily follow its movements.

SWOOSH!!

The little fox attacked him again, but even this time, the only thing it got was another punch on its head.

Unfortunately, that punch was even more powerful than before, and the fox descended onto the ground like a meteor.

BOOM!!!

The impact was powerful, and the fox's body was sent at least a few steps underground.

The noise spread for almost a mile and naturally alerted even more monster beasts.

But it didn't end there, because when the fox crawled out from the ground, it started roaring madly toward the sky.

ROAR!!!

Tian Yang realized its intentions and attacked the fox again, but this time with that strange sword in his space ring.

SLASH!!

His movements were swifts and precise, and the fox didn't even realize that its head was slowly falling to the ground.

PLOP!!

That cut was so fast that the blood spilled out only when the head touched the ground.

SPLASH!!

"Damn you... little bastard... your companions are coming pretty fast..."

Tian Yang felt a lot of presence running towards him at an incredible speed, so after collecting the monster beast's body, he started running in a different direction.

ROAR!!

The beast in the surrounding perceived the smell of blood in the air and became even more agitated.

Many savage beasts were hidden there waiting for their next prey, and naturally, that was one of their best chance to get an easy meal, so they converged all in that direction.

Luckily, Tian Yang ran faster than them and evaded that horde of crazy creatures.

From a distance, he could hear the sounds of battle and the angry roar of them.

They weren't weaker than that little fox.

Actually, some of them were truly powerful, so powerful that even Tian Yang would be in danger against them.

The battle with that little fox was nothing compared to the cruel slaughter happening there, right now.

BOOM!!

ROAR!!

There were even powerful waves of energy coming from there.

But they weren't only infused with pure Essence qi but also by Elemental qi of different types.

Usually, only a tiny part of monster beasts closer to the God Realm could awake their Elemental powers from their bloodlines, so Tian Yang was sure that there was a cruel battle against two or more powerful creatures right there.

He was a bit shocked by all of that and couldn't understand why his actions actually disturbed even someone powerful like them.

'Maybe... that giant tree changed the equilibrium in the forest... damn... this will make my trip a lot harder...'

He didn't stop even for a second and ran away really fast.

Unfortunately, there was someone between those creatures with an excellent sense of smell and an even more frightening speed.

SWOOSH!!

Two deadly talons darted towards him from his left.

The speed of that attack was really too fast, and Tian Yang's left arm was pierced by them.

SLASH!!

Two deep lacerations formed on Tian Yang's arm, and he was naturally shocked by the hardness of those claws.

After all, his skin was strengthened by the dragon's bloodline, so his body was no longer just that of a human.

But it was not the right time to get lost in these strange thoughts, so he kicked the creature with all his strength.

"Damned beast..."

The creature evaded that kick easily and struck again with its talons against his chest, giving Tian Yang no time to react.

SLASH!!

SPLASH!!

His clothes and skin were cut again.

Luckily, Tian Yang arced his body back a little while avoiding more damage.

But when the creature's talons retracted, a huge beak, big as his head, struck towards his face like a deadly sword.

All happened too fast.

Even with all his experience in battle, the difference between them was still too tremendous.

So, when he saw that fatal thing approach his face, he moved his body back as fast as he could and put his left hand, which was already closer to his head, between them.

BOOM!!!

SPLASH!!

Its barrage was too fast, and he couldn't even take out his sword or use the Five Claw to Tear the Heaven martial art to defend.

So he kept using his body to guard against them.

His left arm and hand were now severely injured.

There was a large hole in the middle of his left hand.

His bones were practically broken, and he couldn't even move his finger.

Blood kept flowing out from his wounds, and this not only made the beast even more excited but for some strange reason, when it gulped Tian Yang's drops of blood, it became even more savage and demonic as if his blood was some kind of precious treasure for him.

SCRYY!!!

The monster beast cried out loudly and struck with its beak once again.

PECK!!

SPLASH!!

It was as if it got some kind of boost from his blood because its attack became even faster and more deadly.

PECK!!

SPLASH!!

After the third attack, Tian Yang's left arm had three large holes, from which his blood kept flowing out like a waterfall.

Luckily, the eagle halted its barrage and started licking the blood that fell to the ground before, like a madman.

PECK!!

PECK!!

Tian Yang could finally take out his sword and operate all the energy that was already burning like an angry dragon inside of him.

"Damn you... stupid bird."

His enemy was extremely powerful, an early-stage Saint King, and the best choice for him was to run away naturally.

But when he recognized what kind of species it was, he could only fight this arduous battle and hope for a miracle.
