Chapter 98: A Ring Full of Treasures

"Bastard! Stop hiding like a rat!" Xue cried out in anger as her hands tried to remove the tip of that damned root inserted inside Xifeng.

"Xue… it's useless. Something binds it to her body. What can we do??" Yue asked, worried about Xifeng's fate.

"I do not know. Even high-level healing pills are ineffective. Maybe... Maybe, we have to kill the one who generated it." Xue said worriedly.

Yue wrapped two layers of healing bandages around Xifeng's waist to reduce blood leakage and pulled her blades out of her space ring: "We have to try. Protect the young miss. I'll take care of him by myself."

Xue wanted to stop her, but when she saw the look of guilt on Yue's face, she sighed: "Okay. In the meantime, I will try to recover some energy. Be careful!!"

Xue and Yue had used dozens of healing pills, but nothing could regenerate Xifeng's terrible wounds.

So the only possibility that came to her mind was to shoot down that monster hidden somewhere in the area.

While the two girls were dealing with her injuries, Xifeng, who had much more experience than them in many fields, sought a solution to that problem.

But after several attempts, she realized that her internal energy was almost gone.

Somehow, that strange thing inside her belly was sucking all of her powers.

She tried in various ways to recover the essence qi, which was vanishing at an alarming speed from her body, but it was all in vain because that damned parasite was able to absorb it faster and faster.

In a few moments, the essence qi was reduced to a shallow level, and not even the energy of her Elemental Principles was in an ideal situation.

The power within her three Elemental Principles had almost halved.

And unfortunately, the pendant could no longer supply her with energy because the power contained within it had yet to be reabsorbed.

Xifeng was helpless in the face of such evil power, and her heart could not help but beat wildly, terrified by that terrible fate.

The wound was more severe than expected, so Xifeng struggled to raise her hand and put it on top of Xue's trembling shoulder, with the little strength that remained: "Xue... there are special pills sealed inside golden containers in my space ring. Take out a few of them. They will increase the regeneration rate of your energy. Also, take a couple of those bottles wrapped in a blue halo and pour the contents on my wounds."

Xue knew that Xifeng's terrible conditions prevented her from even accessing the space ring, so she waited for the ruby embedded in it to glow with an intense magenta light and then sent her consciousness into the vast space, searching for those precious treasures, without saying a word.

As soon as her conscience entered that enclosed space, a vast expanse of treasures appeared in front of her.

The absurd amount of treasures shocked the young woman to the core, but she knew it was not the right time to wonder where all those riches came from, so she began looking for the things Xifeng requested.

The more her conscience went into that world, the more the mysterious aura, which enveloped Xifeng, became stronger.

Shelves filled with pills, tomes, and crystals kept appearing in front of her, and each of them had a thing in common.

On each side was drawn the same symbol she had seen earlier, a shining black pearl surrounded by eight colored dots.

A question crossed her mind, was it possible that Xifeng had found an ancient hidden treasure?

Unfortunately, she couldn't resolve her doubts now, so she kept looking for what she needed.

After a few breaths, she finally found what she was looking for.

At the bottom of a row of shelves, she discovered hundreds, if not thousands, of those golden containers.

When her conscience approached them, she was hit by an intense wave of energy, so pure that her mind, torn apart by the succession of all those battles, recovered much of its power.

It was enough for her to think about ejecting some of those containers, and suddenly three of them appeared on her hands in the real world.

Without thinking about it, Xue swallowed one of the pills and placed another between Xifeng's cold lips.

As the pill entered her stomach, she felt the pores of her body begin to operate on their own.

The speed with which her body was able to absorb her energy had tripled.

Despite being shocked by the incredible efficiency of that fabulous pill, Xue immediately resumed the search for the other treasure inside the space ring and did not even notice the demoralized expression on Xifeng's face.

Xifeng hadn't put much hope in that pill, but she was angered nonetheless when she perceived that damn object immediately canceling the prodigious effects of it.

Shortly after, Xue found the healing liquid contained inside those bottles, and before pouring them, she asked worriedly: "Young miss, is it enough to pour it over the wounds?"

Weakened by that demon, Xifeng replied with a simple nod of her head.

When Xue saw the girl nod, she carefully poured the contents of the bottles under the bandages.

And in a few moments, in front of her incredulous eyes, the gashes generated by the damned thing slowly closed, and Xifeng's delicate skin regenerated until one inch from the origin of the wound.

Xue wanted to throw even more liquid on her body, but Xifeng shook her head, stopping Xue in time: "It's useless. The medicine that Yang prepared cannot heal my wounds any more than that. There is something that blocks its effectiveness."

Xue, with her heart torn by the pain, bowed her head and asked worriedly, "Young miss, what can we do? There must be something useful in your space ring..."

Unfortunately, not even Xifeng knew what to do, her knowledge was immense, but this was the first time she was faced with such a particular situation.

The tip of that damned root kept moving inside her belly and absorbing her energy.

The only thing that came to her mind was the same as the twins, killing the Bastard who did this to her, so after a long sigh, she turned to Xue and told her: "Maybe… maybe the only solution is to kill that bastard…"
