Rose looked around the table, watching the joyful looks she was getting from everyone. It seemed everyone was happy that she was getting closer to Caleb, everyone, except the woman sitting across from her, shooting daggers at her. Boy, if looks could kill.

"Uh ma'am… no I mean your majesty…" Aaron started as he wracked his brain for the right way to address his future queen. After the punishment he'd received last time, he didn't want to piss off the boss again.

Rose heard the voice and turned to look at the guy who was speaking, or trying to. Her eyebrows lifted in surprise when she saw who it was. "You're back," she said with a smile.

Aaron smiled brightly at her words, feeling ecstatic that his future queen was happy to see him. "Yes my queen."

Rose frowned. Why did that title send shivers down her spine? "Rose is fine Aaron."

"You remember my name!" he said happily.

"Yes, I remember you got punished," she said with a smile.

His smile fell at the memory of his punishment and he swallowed hard when he felt a glare coming from the king's direction. "Uh, I was going to say, that perhaps it's a good idea that you stay together in the same room as the boss. It would be safer for you."

She frowned when she heard the agreements around the table. Shit, was everyone on his side?

Caleb, who had been glaring at Aaron, suddenly smiled at the boy. It seemed he might be useful after all.

Aaron smiled brightly when he got a slight nod from his boss. He had done well!

"I'll get everything ready," Katherine said as she stared at the human woman. She hated the idea of them sleeping together in the same room. She knew nothing had happened between them so far, but if they were staying in the same room, things might turn out to be different. They would be in each other's arms every night. It would be hard for them to fight the temptation.

"Perfect," Caleb said as he turned to smile at Rose.

Ksien who had been silently watching them suddenly spoke. "Caleb, what about the plans we-"

"Later," Caleb said, interrupting his friend. He wasn't going to pass up the chance to sleep in the same room with the woman he loved. If they moved now, she might find another excuse to sleep in another room, especially since the house they were moving into had many rooms.

Ksien's eyebrows lifted as he looked at Caleb. Later? Weren't they supposed to move tomorrow? He had worked so hard to have everything ready in time.

"We'll discuss it later," Caleb said as he turned to look at Ksien.

Ksien nodded his head, unable to complain. "Very well."

Rose frowned as she looked at the two men. "What are you talking about?" she asked curiously.

"Just business," Caleb said with a smile as he looked over at her. "Are you done Rose I'd like to talk to you about something?"

She gulped, but nodded. It didn't matter how hard she tried to hide from him; he would always find her. She might as well face him.

Caleb got up and walked over to help her with her chair. They both walked towards the door, but before they opened it, Caleb walked back to where Aaron was sitting and whispered something in his ear, which made the boy smile brightly.

"Thanks boss!" Aaron exclaimed cheerfully as he watched his boss walk back towards the door and exit the dining room with Rose.

"What was that?" a vampire asked.

"Hehe," Aaron chucked happily. "I'm getting a reward."

Kat rolled her eyes and walked towards the door, leaving the other vampires as they glared jealously at Aaron.

In the hallway, Caleb led Rose towards the study. It seemed having conversations in the study had become a daily thing. She wondered if this was where he always did his business too.

Caleb opened the door and led her inside before closing it and locking it. "I wanted to talk to you about why I'm doing this," he said as he walked towards his desk.

Because you're a pervert! She thought, but didn't say it out loud. Her eyes narrowed at him as he stood next to the desk and picked up some papers. "Why?" she asked.

"I need to keep you safe." He dropped the papers and turned to look at her. "It's not because I'm some pervert who wants you in my bed."

Her cheeks burned red with his words. Did he have the ability to read minds too? She wondered.

Caleb smiled at her. "I know you didn't say it, but I can read your thoughts on your face. You don't know how to hide them very well."

Dammit! She chuckled dryly. "That's not what I was thinking," she said as she looked up at him.

His eyebrow lifted, amused. "Oh no?" He walked over to her, noting the way her body stiffened when he got close to her.

She felt his gaze see right through her. "Fine, that's what I was thinking," she confessed.

He chuckled.

"If I'm right, I don't have to move into your room. I know you're a vampire and you have needs. You can always get another girl to take care of you, I don't mind," she said. She gulped as she watched his smile fall and his brows furrow.

"Why would you say that? Would you really be okay with that?" he asked as he watched her intently, his heart pounding as he waited for her answer.

She swallowed hard and bit her bottom lip. Even if she didn't love him, being cheated on was never a fun thing. But, then again, she had been doing things with Jack behind Caleb's back already so how could she tell him not to do anything when she was doing things herself. "Y-yes," she answered, cheeks burning hot.

His eyes narrowed at her and he leaned into her. "Is that so?" He noticed the way her body was moving away from him. "So I can do whatever I want with whomever I want, but you're going to stay faithful to me?" he asked, watching her eyes widen.

"I, no… that's not…" She frowned. That was not fair! Why did she have to stay loyal if he wasn't going to be? "I think it should be fair for both of us. You can do whatever you want, but I can too." She swallowed hard when she watched a glimmer of anger shine in his eyes as he continued to glare at her.

"Are you telling me you want to sleep with other men Rose?"

She shook her head. "N-no! That's not what I meant!" How had he turned her words in this direction?! The memory of Jack flashed through her mind and made her cheeks turn hotter. Shit. How could she make this right?

"Your words make me think you're not as pure as I thought you were. Are you sure you haven't done anything I should know about?" he asked, watching her face give her answer away.

Rose tried not to let her emotions show, but her body was burning hot, palms sweating nervously. She bit her bottom lip to stop herself from saying anything else that was going to cause her more trouble. She stayed silent, refusing to talk, making the air around them thicker by the second.
