Surprise

Caleb had spend at least ten minutes trying to convince her that he wasn't going to do anything weird when he asked her to wear a blindfold. He was very happy when she finally agreed. They were finally on the way towards her surprise, and he wasn't sure how she was going to react to it. He was hopeful, but he knew she wouldn't like moving away from the people she loved.

Rose was nervous as she sat on the passengers seat, on the way to finally see her surprise. "What if I don't like it?"

"Then I'll be very sad," he said as he turned to look at her.

Of course, he would say that. Now she was going to have to pretend to like the surprise even if she didn't.

He chuckled. "If you don't like it, you can tell me."

She nodded and smiled, knowing well she would not be able to hurt his feelings. Damn conscience. She bit her bottom lip when she felt the car suddenly stop and tightened her hands around the seat belt nervously.

Caleb chuckled, watching her fidget nervously. "We're here sweetheart," he said as he turned off the engine. "I'm going to open the door for you. Don't even think about taking off the blindfold."

She chuckled dryly at his words. Like she even could. He was a thousand times faster and stronger than her, even if she tried, she wouldn't succeed.

He quickly got out and flashed to her side to open the door for her. He helped her out and gently lifted her into his arms, surprising her.

"What are you doing?" Rose asked, nervously.

He chuckled. "It will be faster if I carry you instead of letting you stumble along the way. I have no hidden agenda I promise."

She sighed. "Okay."

Caleb smiled and began to walk towards the entrance of the mansion they were going to live in from now on. He set her down at the bottom of the steps, helping her until she was steady on her feet. "Alright, I'm taking off the blindfold."

Rose gulped nervously and sighed. "Okay." She slowly opened her eyes when she felt the blindfold slide off. She frowned when she looked up at a pair of giant double doors, which were the entrance to a white mansion. It was a giant house and it looked bigger than the one they were currently living in. But, why was he showing her a house when they already had one? "I…" She stopped talking. Dread began to creep in as she began to realize what her surprise was. A new house, or was her surprise somewhere inside this giant mansion?

"Do you like it?" Caleb asked as he watched her intently, wanting to see every single emotion that ran through her features.

Rose swallowed hard as she continued to look at the mansion in front of her. "I'm not sure I understand."

"This is our new home," Caleb said with a smile. "This is where we're going to live from now on."

"Oh…" She was speechless. He wanted to move. How was Jack going to find her now? Her heart began to race as worry ran through her mind. She suddenly felt like the world was against them. "What's wrong with the old house?" she finally asked as she looked up at him.

"Too many people know where we live. You will be much safer here." He smiled and placed a hand on her cheek, brushing her lower lip with his thumb. "Besides, we'll need our own private place as newlyweds."

Her heart skipped a beat and she felt her stomach tighten as hundreds of emotions washed through her. She held her breath as his body got closer while his hypnotizing dark-blue eyes stared into hers.

He smiled, watching her cheeks turn red, loving the effect he had on her. After the incident in the study, she seemed to be more aware of him and a lot more vulnerable. He was happy that she was unknowingly letting him get closer to her.

Rose gulped as she felt her body beginning to heat up. "W-why? I don't mind living with the others," she finally spoke, voice barely a whisper.

His eyebrows lifted in amusement. "Why?" he asked with a smile. He wrapped his hand around her head and the other around her waist to pull her against him, making her gasp in shock. He leaned over until his head was right beside hers. "You really don't know… or are you asking me so I'll tell you what I'm planning to do to you in detail?" he asked, voice low and husky.

She shivered as his breath tickled her ear and her body immediately began to burn with his words, turning her cheeks bright red. She lifted her hands and wrapped them around his shoulders to try to push him away and get some distance between them, but he wasn't budging.

"I'm going to make love to you in every corner of this house… until yo-"

"That's not what I meant!" she quickly cried out to stop him from talking. Her heart was pounding out of her chest and she took a deep breath to try and calm herself. His scent filled her head and she felt her body burn hotter. "Let me go please."

He chuckled and tightened his hold around her. "I don't want to. I'm very comfortable."

She swallowed hard. "I'm not." She tried to push him away once again unsuccessfully. "Release me Caleb," she demanded through clenched teeth.

He turned to look at her, smiling as he noted the red blush on her cheeks.

Her breath caught as their eyes met. The intensity in his dark-blue eyes made her shiver and she felt an ache between her thighs. Fucking hell! Why was she reacting to him like this? He wasn't Jack! Before he had a chance to lean into her and press his lips against hers, she quickly turned her head to avoid his kiss.

Caleb frowned, unhappy.

"The house… you haven't shown me the house," she said nervously as she avoided his penetrating gaze.

An emotion flashed through his eyes as he silently looked at her for a few seconds. He finally released her and smiled before taking her hand and leading her up the steps towards the entrance to the house.

She inwardly sighed with relief and followed him up the steps until they reached a pair of white doors, which the entrance to her new prison. Funny that she had escaped one prison only to be locked up in another.

The doors opened, and they were greeted by two men dressed in black. They each held a door open for them as they walked inside.

"Welcome my king and queen," they both said in unison.

Rose felt her cheeks turn red, feeling embarrassed at the title they were giving her. She was definitely not queen material. Hopefully they would stop calling her that. She followed him inside, arm wrapped around his absentmindedly.

Caleb led her through the house, showing her every room that was necessary, until he got to their bedroom.

Rose waited for him to open the door to the room they were standing in front of. She could feel sweat running down her back as she became more anxious with every minute that passed.

"This is my favorite room in the house," Caleb said with a mischievous smile as he opened one of the double doors to their new bedroom. He reached out for her and slowly led her inside, letting her look around and take everything in.

Rose looked around and sighed. "I like the old house," she said cautiously, trying to convince him not to move. It would be harder for Jack to find her if she moved to a new location. He was already having trouble finding her current whereabouts.

His eyebrows lifted. "You don't like this one?"

"That's not… it's very nice. I just don't see why we have to move. I was barely getting used to the other mansion."

"And that's why I decided to do this now, rather than later, before you get too attached to the other house."

She chuckled dryly. He was always thinking about her. She continued to look around and frowned when she saw her things on a small vanity to her left. She walked forward and picked up one thing after another, inspecting them. They were definitely her things. She looked up at Caleb, heart dropping to the floor as realization hit her. "My things are already here?"

He nodded. "We are going to live here starting today sweetheart."
