By fate, Lucas and Imani's worlds collide. Knowing that Imani is capable of finding the cure to the virus that was killing his people, Lucas is willing to do anything to get Imani's help.

<p>"Leave him alone. It's not him you're here for," Willard stated and the hellhound walked past Lucas without taking its eyes off him. It went to Willard's side and Lucas kept his eyes while Nikolay, who was still trying to figure out what was going on, rushed over to Imani and Desmond.</p>

<p>The hellhound next to Imani snarled at him as Imani wrapped her arms around him and she jolted before it also walked to where Willard stood. Desmond slowly got to his feet and Nikolay helped Imani to her feet too as Lucas made his way over to them. The blood on him had made his shirt stick to his chest and was starting to dry on his hands and neck but Imani didn't care and pulled him into a hug. They were still surrounded by hybrids but she didn't care about them because now that her father was here, she felt that everything was going to be okay.</p>
