It took Nikolay a moment to process what he just read and his eyes widened slightly in surprise as his eyes went from the phone to Takeda's face before he scowled. He didn't give anyone orders to attack the institute now so what the fuck was he looking at?

He grabbed the phone from Takeda's hands, scrolling down to read the article, and found out that the attack on the institute happened a couple of minutes ago. A lot of the missing vampires they went to save died due to exposure to sunlight without them having daylight rings and that was the exact reason Nikolay wanted to go get them when night had fallen. The vampires that went on the rescue mission also set the institute ablaze and there had been a lot of people in it but the number of casualties were unknown.

This was definitely going to cause major problems for him from the government, especially The Night Force, seeing as he was the vampire king.
