pure fluff, word count: 1970

A new survivor joined the manor not too long ago; she quickly got to know everyone, and was friends with everyone. Something peculiar about her was that she often spent her time in the hunter's side of the manor. By this point, it was known that the hunters weren't bad outside of the game, but how would she want to be around the ones that chased them around everyday? (y/n) didn't care what the other survivors thought of her habit to visit the hunters, though she did get a little nervous when they got mad at her for doing it the first few times. She was heading over again, through the gardens, when she ran into a certain mercenary getting a breath of fresh air after his match.

"Hey, Naib! How was your match? Do you wanna come hang out with me?" She offered, stopping her walk to have a short chat with her friend.

"Maybe later, thanks though." He denied, sitting on a nearby bench as they talked. "My match was fine, I managed to get out this time!" He replies with a smile. His smile made her flutter. Their conversation continued for a short time, until a little head covered with cloth popped up next to them.

"Miss (nickname)! Play with us?" Robbie pulled her from her seat on the bench towards the hunter's side. Quickly, she spoke up.

"Just a second, Robbie. Let me finish talking to Mr. Naib." He chuckled.

"It's alright, (y/n). I'll talk to you later, ok?" Smiling and leaving with a curt nod, he walked off, leaving (y/n) to be dragged from her spot by the young boy. He started to talk about his match and how difficult it was, along with the book "mama michiko" read to Yima and him last night. She listened very intently, though her mind wandered off the less sense he made. When they arrived, they were informed that Yidhra was put into a match, meaning her follower, Yima, would not be able to play with Robbie and (y/n).

"Robbie, why don't you play alone while (y/n) and I have tea, then you two can play when she gets back?" Michiko suggests, while leading him back to his room. As the tea was being prepared, they sat and conversed, Michiko once again apologizing for hitting (y/n) too hard that one match. (y/n)'s response to her apology intrigued her.

"It's alright, Miss Michiko, you don't have to keep apologizing. Besides, it wasn't that bad, Naib helped me out afterwards, I was fine." At the mention of the boy's name, she smiled.

"And how is he? Have you told him yet?" A common subject between the two was the feelings (y/n) had for the mercenary. She blushed.

"No, no no, I don't plan to. We are good friends and I am happy to stay that way. He's fine, though, he was happy and very proud of his performance in his last match, it was cute the way he lit up about it." The Geisha giggled at her dreamy face, and got up to pour them both the tea that had finished steeping.

"And what about you, Miss Geisha? How are you? How is Mary~" She stopped pouring the tea for a moment to look up at the survivor, shook her, and made a zip motion across her lips.

"She could hear you!" she whispered while passing the full teacup to the girl across from her. "Besides, it's going very well, because unlike you, I plan to tell her." They giggled for a moment, indulging themselves in the abnormal moment of gossip. As they sipped their tea, they talked about the relationships forming between the others of the manor. Michiko chose to bring up the moment in pack hunters that Luchino and Antonio don't stop talking about. (y/n) learned that they passed each other for a brief moment in lakeside village and shared a quick kiss before chasing their respective survivors. (y/n) told her friend about Norton helping Andrew calm down after having a panic attack triggered by his claustrophobia. Neither of them brought up the subject of their personal love lives again. As they began to change subjects again after discussing strategies to counter each other, Yidhra slithered up to the table, a large scowl apparent on her face, though (y/n) couldn't see her, Michiko could and felt her frustration from the other side of the table.

"(y/n), I think Yima is back, why don't you go get Robbie?" Michiko wanted to avoid conflict as best as she could, and she knew Yidhra did not like it when she had tea with any survivor, especially (y/n). Thankfully, she got the message. Nodding in agreement, she left to go find Yima and Robbie.

The search wasn't hard; she found them both in Robbie's room working on the puzzle that Robbie started.

"Robbie!" Yima exclaimed, instinctively grabbing his arms to stop him. "You have to start with the outside pieces!" It seems they hadn't noticed (y/n) had entered the room. They had managed to find all the edge pieces of the puzzle and put together about half of it before they became bored.

"Let's find Miss (nickname)!" Robbie said, then proceeded to see her standing in the doorway. "Miss (nickname)! Can we play now?" He pleaded. She smiled and bent down to meet them eye level.

"What do you two want to play?" She was hoping they wouldn't say what they normally said.

"Tag!" Jumping up, they grabbed her arms and pulled her to the main area of the hunter's side. She groaned playfully and followed along with them, pretending to drag her feet, slowing them down. She pretended to be slow and dragging, so that when one of them stopped to complain about her lack of speed, she could-

"Tag! You're it!" (y/n) tapped Robbie on the shoulder and sprinted in the opposite direction. Just as in the game, the hunters were faster than the survivors, so she had to use the terrain of the manor to assist her. Luckily, she can't count the amount of times she's played tag with the kids, and she knows how to use the tight spaces of the manor to her advantage.

"No fair!" Robbie complains, but begins to run after them anyways, giggling with them. (y/n) quickly turns a corner, leaving Yima to fend against Robbie herself if he doesn't follow her. He did. Sighing and continuing down the corridor, (y/n) started to lose her breath from the non-stop chase. Finally, a turn appeared. She used the corner to make a sharp turn, causing Robbie to slow down, then she threw him off by turning around and running through the long corridor again. Fortunately, she was able to get him off her tail as he started going for Yima instead when they reached the end of the hall; unfortunately, they were all running in the same direction, so she couldn't slow down. They reached the garden, the bridge between hunters and survivors. She was starting to trail behind, but Robbie was set on Yima as his target, until they ran into someone else.

"Tag!" Robbie softly pat the only other person in the garden besides them, "You're it, come get us!" He quickly explained to the other person who wasn't playing before. It didn't take long for (y/n) to catch up and she who Robbie dragged into the game. Naib grinned and reached out his arms as the three quickly saw his acceptance to play and tried to get away from him as fast as possible. They ran through the garden and, without realizing it, they made their way into the survivor's side of the manor. The children noticed the lag of the female survivor trailing behind them.

"Hurry up (y/n), the big bad monster is going to get you!" Yima yelled while trying to motivate her to speed up, but Naib was quicker. The noise attracted a few survivors, but no one playing the game noticed. Realized how close he had gotten to her, she yelped cheerfully and managed a quick burst of speed, surpassing the other two being chased but only for a moment. Accidentally stumbling while turning, she fell behind again. They made it all the way to the main area of the survivor's side before Naib was able to catch her. He finally got close enough to grab her waist. As he pulled her close, he lifted her up in the air and growled playfully while she shrieked, surprised but happy. She giggled as he brought her back down, but before he let go, he planted a soft kiss to her neck, whispering,

"Gotcha~" She was stunned. He took this moment to run from her as she regained her senses. Her exasperation was cleared from her mind and body from the encounter, and she swiftly took off after them, not realizing the few eyes that witnessed the moment.

"Naib, get back here!" She yelled, speeding up and barely missing her attempt to grab onto the back of his hoodie. She was determined to get him back, but ultimately had to settle for postponing her revenge, as Robbie tripped and decided his knee hurt too bad to continue. (y/n) sighed and picked him up, carrying him back to the other side of the manor while Yima followed. She, too, decided she wanted to be carried, and begged Naib to lift her. He sighed but obliged, lifting her as (y/n) had done with Robbie. It was silent as they carried the children back, but often they would catch the other glancing at them, causing them to look away with a blush. The memory of the event was fresh in their minds. They reached Robbie's room, and (y/n) tucked him into his bed, seeing as though he fell asleep on the way to his room. Leading Naib to Yima's room, he had to do the same. As they left, Yima mumbled.

"Mr. Naib, will you play with us again?" He walked back over to her and pat her head softly.

"Of course I will." He and (y/n) walked back to the survivor's side hand in hand. In the process of making their way back, a yawn emitted from (y/n).

"Are you tired? Want me to carry you too?" He joked, though if she were to say yes, he would be more than happy to.

"You didn't play with them as long as I did, yes I am tired," she responded, glaring softly and shaking her head. "but if you want to carry me, be my guest." She quipped back, not expecting him to lift her up, holding her legs in one arm and having her upper back in his other arm. Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck so as to not fall, but she was sure he wouldn't drop her.

"Not like this! Aren't I heavy?" He shook his head and continued to walk to her room. Suddenly, her forgotten fatigue from eariler rushed back to her. She didn't mean to close her eyes, but by the time she could open them again, they were already to her room. He didn't notice her eyes open again as he laid her on her bed.

"Good night, (y/n), let's play again sometime." He whispered in her ear, thinking she was already asleep.

"Thank you." she mumbled tiredly, grabbing his wrist and pulling him back down. To get him back from earlier, she planted a kiss to his cheek before turning around and drifting off to sleep. Naib left her room blushing. He hoped no one would stop him on the way back to his room; his wish was granted. Sliding against his wall after closing his door, he sighed deeply and took a moment to breathe, then dragged himself to his bed. He fell asleep with the thoughts of (y/n) filling his mind.
