A Fight With A Demon II

"You didn't cry out in pain even though you plunged into the ground like that," the demon remarked. "You're tough... for a human," he complimented Kies.

Kies wiped the dirt off his clothes, not that it mattered anyway as they were practically ruined already. He started gathering the winds together with his hands and waited for the demon to make a move first.

"What you're not going to attack?" the demon taunted Kies. "In that case, I'll start then." The demon ran up to Kies and swung his club downwards. But instead of dodging this time, Kies took it head-on and put both his hands over his head. He concentrated the wind magic around his arms and stopped the blow, surprising the demon.

"Wha-" Before the demon could react, Kies directed the winds in his arms upward and they blew the club out of the demon's hands and into the air and also made him fall backward on his back. Kies didn't give the demon a chance to get back up. He immediately channeled more wind into his hands and pointed it at the demon's head, concentrated it, and shot it.

The demon let out a loud cry of pain as the wind hit one of his horns and blew it right off. "How dare you!" the demon roared while covering his face. He jumped back up and started stomping towards Kies. With his free hand, the demon created a chain and whipped it at Kies.

Kies responded by coating his arm with wind and bringing it up to block the chain. The chain hit Kies's arm and broke through the coat of wind, sending him flying to the side. The demon quickly spun the chain back around and aimed it lower to hit Kies while he was still on the floor.

Kies placed both of his hands on the ground and let out a blast of wind, sending him flying into the air, dodging the chain as it spun by. "You have nowhere to go now rat!" the demon yelled out as he swung the chain up into the air at Kies.

Kies brought the winds to form a barrier between him and the chain but it wasn't enough. The chain tore right through the wind with little resistance and hit Kies, sending him over the circle of demons and crashing into a nearby house.

As he crashed into the house, he heard someone cry out as if they were in immense pain. Kies quickly recovered and jumped out of the rubble and moved aside as the chain came down on exactly where he was.

"What are you doing!? That's my house!" one of the demons cried out.

"Shut up!" the chain wielding demon replied.

The demon whose house got destroyed charged at the demon that was fighting Kies and tackled him onto the floor. The two of them then got into a fistfight and were slugging each other. The rest of the crowd of demons watched and cheered, forgetting about Kies.

"What are you doing!?" yelled a familiar voice. Ammine appeared behind the demons. The moment the two demons fighting saw her, they immediately stopped fighting and saluted her.

The demon whose house got wrecked said something to Ammine to which she responded with, "Just go fix it then!" The other demon, the one that was fighting with Kies also said something then pointed to his forehead, then at the horn on the floor, and then at Kies.

Ammine glared at the demon murderously and then called out a name. A skinny demon walked up to the horn on the ground, picked it up, and walked to Ammine. The demon placed the horn back on his forehead and chanted something and let go. The horn was reattached to the demon.

Ammine then looked at Kies and gestured for him to come with her and then turned around and walked away, not bothering to check if Kies was following or not. Kies started to run after Ammine and as he passed by the demon that he got into a fight with, he saw that the demon was looking at him with a pissed off expression.
