To Silverfield I

"The other person? You'll meet them soon so just wait a bit." Ammine signaled for Kies to follow her through the forest. Kies followed Ammine through the forest and the two of them ended up at the castle where they found Jasyeu and another demon waiting for them.

Jasyeu was the first to spot them and she waved at the two as they walked up to them. The waving attracted the attention of the other demon who was standing next to her and he looked over at Kies and Ammine too.

"Took the two of you long enough." A tall and buff demon greeted the two of them and handed Ammine something.

"It's not like we're behind schedule or anything," Ammine said while taking the item from the demon's hands before handing it over to Kies. Kies took the item, whatever it was from Ammine, and unfolded it and saw that it was a cloak. Underneath the cloak was also a new set of clothes.

"We can't have you going into Silverfield looking like that, and since we didn't have any clothes that would fit you, we had our tailor make something your size," Ammine told him.

"Oh, thank you." The clothes looked very similar to the ones that he was currently wearing. There were only a few minor differences and the material used felt a lot more comfortable.

"The material's expensive so you better not ruin them. The clothes are resistant to magic but are useless against physical attacks," Ammine informed him. Kies was more than happy to have a new set of clothes after so long, and it went without saying that he was going to keep these safe.

"You can change behind there," the male demon pointed his thumb at a cluster of trees behind him. "Be quick about it, I want to start moving as soon as possible," he also quickly added.

Kies went behind the cluster of trees and quickly changed into the new clothes and put on the cloak as well. "What do I do with the old ones!?" he shouted through the trees.

"Just toss them out, it's not like you can use them anymore!" Ammine answered back, shouting as well so that Kies could hear her over the trees.

Kies tossed his clothes on the ground and went back to the three. He saw that they were all wearing the cloaks now as well. It made sense since they were demons going into human territory, but Kies still thought that they stuck out. The cloaks may hide their faces, but they were still a lot taller than the average human, well other than Jasyeu. Furthermore, their horns were still visible even with their hoods on, not to mention their wings which were creating a huge bulge on their backs with the exception being Jasyeu.

Kies pointed out the problem to the three demons but they didn't seem to be worried about it at all. "It's easy to fix that problem. Falte," Ammine looked at the male demon.

"Is there really a point in doing it right now?"

"Well, it lasts forever, doesn't it? Might as well do it now so that your magic will come back by the time we get to the city. It's not like we're flying there anyway."

"I guess." Falte extended his arms out and placed both his hands on the two demons. He then chanted something in Demonic that Kies couldn't understand and the three of them began to glow. Ammine and Falte both shrank down in size. The three demons also lost their horns and wings and looked very much human now.

"What magic is that?" Kies asked Falte after the demon was done with the spell.

"Exactly what it looks like," he told Kies, not giving him any more of an explanation other than that.

"It's illusion magic," Ammine answered Kies. "We may look like this, but our bodies are still the same underneath the spell." To prove her point, Ammine gently slapped the air above Falte's head and instead of her hand going right past, it collided with something.

"Hey!" Falte knocked aside Ammine's hand. "Enough playing around, the king's waiting for us."

"Oh right." Ammine suddenly remembered and quickly ran off, leaving the rest of the group to catch up with her.

The four of them entered the castle and just like the last time, there were no guards anywhere to be seen. Kies didn't bother asking about it since he was pretty sure that it had something to do with the missions. They entered the throne room and found Tornon and another demon there waiting for them.

"Looks like you're all here," Tornon said after counting everyone. "Here, take these." Tornon tossed something to each and every one of them. Kies caught the object with both his hands and examined it. The objects that he had given them were white pearls. They were as small as his fingernail.

"What are these? he asked.

"They're emergency escape capsules. You break it and it will instantly teleport you back here. Don't use them unless you're in serious trouble or have something urgent to report," the demon next to Tornon answered. She was holding a staff that was adorned with jewels and golden rings.

"Yeah, what she said," Tornon agreed. "I don't think I need to repeat to you all what your mission is, but any questions before you depart?"

The four of them said nothing to indicate that they had no questions about their mission. "That's what I like to see. Fuusha, you're up." Tornon turned to the demon holding the staff. She tapped the floor with it, creating a jingling sound with the ring. She then chanted something in Demonic and a black mist formed in front of her. She then made a grasping gesture with her hand and the black mist disappeared to reveal a door.

"This door will take you right outside of the kingdom. As for how you will enter, that's up to you to figure out."

"Got it." Falte walked up to the door and opened it without any hesitation. The inside was pure black with nothing.

"Good luck," Tornon told them as the four of them went through the door.
