Lilith's Secret

"I thought you would have known something like this." I said.

"Sorry," responded Jon, "she never told me everything about herself."

"But she's your GIRLFRIEND!" I replied, "Do you even know why she didn't tell you?"

"Er, no." answered Jon, "I'm sorry."

"Can you just fill us in specifically on what you don't know about her?" I asked.

"Well, I'm pretty sure she didn't tell us what's wrong with her and why she's freaking out here-" started Jon.

"That's not the answer we're looking for!" I interrupted.

"I don't know her full history," answered Jon, "She just appeared in Dovacath about six years ago. Before that time, the residents of Dovacath were unaware of her existence."

-Jon's POV (Six Years Ago)-

It felt like a normal day in Dovacath. I was on my way to work while the wind was blowing in my face. The grass was green, as were the leaves on the trees. It was then that I saw I face that I had never seen previously.

There was a young woman with long blonde hair, wearing a spirit medium's outfit. I decided to talk to her then. She said that she had just arrived in Dovacath… alone. It only took us a few months to get romantically involved with each other.

Around that time, she got a job as a defender in the Dovacath court. Sadly, I am not aware of this "secret" that she seems to be hiding from all of us.

-Ron's POV (Present)-

"Whatever the secret is," said Jon, "do you think it may be connected to that woman we saw earlier?"

"It could be." responded David.

"She disappeared not long after that woman had appeared." said Tom.

"We could possibly find out why she seems to have a grudge- both of them, actually." said Timothy, "That woman and Lilith seem to have already met, since both of them seem to hate each other."

"Whatever it is," I said, "I am sure that we'll find the answers."

"I'm pretty sure we all know for certain that Lilith and that woman have already met," said Jason, "We have magic and lie detectors!"

"What should we do now?" asked Harold.

"Well," I said, "Cameron was just taken away for committing murder. However, we didn't know anything about it. All we have to do is get details from the woman that took him away."

"Are you sure we can't start a 'no girls allowed' club or something?" joked Jason.

"Let's go." I said.

"It was only a joke!" exclaimed Jason.

Our whole group followed behind me as we searched for the mysterious woman in the courthouse. Eventually, we found an office. There was a window on the wall, allowing us to see inside of the room.

Through the window, we could see the woman that we had seen earlier. I slowly transformed my hand into a fist and at the same speed directed it at the door… I slowly knocked on it. Just a few moments later, the door opened.

"Go away." the woman requested, standing at the doorway.

"Hold it." I said, "We're not leaving."

"Shouldn't you be with that baby?" she asked.

"What do you mean by baby?" I asked.

"Don't you dare say anything, Harold!" demanded Jason.

"I wasn't." replied Harold.

"You should know… The one that ran off crying earlier!" said the woman.

"Wait… Lilith?" I responded, "Just who are you and how do you know Lilith?"

"That's none of your business." she answered.

"Well," I said, "how about telling us about the murder?"

"No." she answered.

"Are you allergic to cats?" I asked.

"That's none of your business, the woman answered, "and what does that even have to do with anything?"

"I… can fill the room with cats… right now… if I need to."

The woman laughed and said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I… LIKE…CATS!" I shouted and the whole building started to flood with cats. After a few minutes, the woman disappeared.

"Either she's allergic," I said, "or she just hates cats."

"Ron," said Jason, "are we planning on saving the proud nem-"

"It doesn't matter what he is," I said, "but we must find everybody."

"So," said Tom, "what are we going to do now? It's not like they're just going to let you defend Cameron."

"Actually," I said, pointing behind me, "sign-up is over there."

"What the heck?" responded Tom, "So… this means you're doing it, aren't you?"

"I've done it at least four times in the past." I answered.

"Are you sure?" asked Jason, "This isn't Dovacath's court."

"It doesn't matter to me where we are." I said, "Even if they're going to cover our eyes, we'll just have to do our best to uncover them. And soon we'll know the answer to life, the universe, and everything!"

"It's forty-two." said Jason.

"Are you sure it's not six hundred sixty six?" asked Tom.

Back on topic," I said, "we will soon find out Lilith's secret."

It was at that moment that I signed up. I was ready to do this again, regardless of whatever crazy things would end up coming in my way. We were still in the dark about the incident, but I knew that we would eventually find out the details we were missing. All I knew at the time was that I had to save Cameron from his false charges.
