"Is your neck okay, senior Arian?" Luke worriedly asked as he forwarded his hand to check Arian's injury.
Dodging Luke's hand, Arian shook his head, "It's fine. Your dagger only scratches me a little."
Seeing how Arian evade his hand, Luke pursed his lips silently before nodding his head, "If you say so."
Secretly sighed, Arian wiped the remaining blood on his neck before said, "You go train your weapons here a little more. I'm gonna prepare our vehicle."
"Okay." Luke agreed to Arian's order and started walking to the target dummy to improve his dagger skill.
...
*Plop*
*Plop*
Sounds of sweat hitting the floor echoed through Luke's ears. His breath is ragged due to the constant movement he executed. Wiping the sweats over his forehead, Luke slowly lay on the floor while trying to catch some breath.
'I don't like a dagger, but it seems I got no choice but to use it for now.' Luke mused inwardly. As if knowing his thought, the system suddenly appeared with an announcement.
...
The abrupt appearance of many abilities, causing Luke's mind to slightly dizzy. Closing the system forcefully, Luke closed his eyes to recover from the dizziness before opening them again and summoned the system.
This time, Luke read the new feature slowly and browsed through many abilities provided by the system. As he scrolled through many lists of abilities, Luke gets amazed by how many abilities available.
'I wish I could acquire these abilities in the future.' Luke wished silently. Once again, as if reading his thought, additional information appeared.
"Holy Shit!" Luke immediately jumped from his lying position in a spur moment.
"Hello? System guy, are you there?" Luke mumbled under his breath, trying to communicate with the guy that resides inside his mind. He was expecting the man would answer, considering how almost all his wish granted today.
1 second.
2 seconds.
Hearing no answer, Luke concluded the man was in offline mode. However, he got plenty of questions to ask. Such as, who is he? Why would he choose me as the system holder? Why did he transmigrate me from the Earth to Aine? What's his goal?
"Hey! I told you to practice, not daydream!" Luke snapped out from his thought when he heard Arian's shouted beside his ears.
Giving Arian an apologetic look, Luke quickly changed the topic, "How's the vehicle? Should we depart now?"
"Yes, let's wrap the things up before we go," Arian ordered as he picked the Railgun and proceeded to unload the ammunition from it.
Removing his invisible gloves, Luke gently placed them inside the wooden case.
They ended up spending ten minutes to tidy up all things. Carrying his backpack, Luke asked Arian, "How do we carry all these weapons?"
His bag was already full of clothes. And even if there is space for the weapons, Luke wouldn't dare place these precious items recklessly inside his bag.
"Use this" Arian threw something in his direction. Catching the thing Arian threw, Luke's eyes twitched in annoyance. Creased his forehead, Luke pointed at the miniature black suitcase, "What am I supposed to do with this tiny little thing?"
His pinky was even bigger than this thing.
"Try to press it twice." Arian simply replied.
"Why are you keep acting mysteriously like this, senior Arian." Luke sighed and obediently did as Arian ordered. He tapped his thumb over the tiny suitcase twice.
Luke was initially about to say nothing is happening, when his eyes caught the same suitcase emitted a "Bip" sounds before starting to undergo the transformation process.
"What the fuck?" Luke blurted out in shock and accidentally dropped the suitcase on the floor due to the shock he received.
The original tiny black suitcase whose size wasn't even comparable to his pinky, now expanded into a normal suitcase size.
"Do you know what I've thought about this scene?" Luke continued without waiting for Arian's response, "It's like the thing from the film I saw. Ummm...I think this what they called nanotechnology."
"You seem pretty knowledgeable regarding this matter. Anyway, your assumption is correct." Arian picked the suitcase up and put it on the desk.
Inserting all the weapons inside the suitcase, Luke inquired curiously, "So, there are many items with the same technology as this?"
Arian shot him a glance before he walked straight away and answered, "I'm sorry, but that's a secret. Don't forget to return the suitcase back into its original form by tapping the case thrice."
"That's a secret..." Luke muttered as he watched Arian's back before following him briskly while carrying a tiny suitcase on his palm.
...
After being led by Arian into an elevator, they were brought into a basement where the light went dimmer.
'If Arian turned out to be an assassin and planned to kill me here, my corpse wouldn't find out by anyone.' Luke shuddered at that thought and involuntarily distanced himself quite a bit from Arian.
"What are you doing?" Arian noticed Luke's weird antics couldn't help but ask.
Shaking his head rapidly, Luke awkwardly laughed, "Social distancing, social distancing."
Ignoring Luke, Arian suddenly spoke, "We've arrived."
Turning his attention from meaningless thought, Luke stared at the vehicle in front of him with no longer surprise on his face. Being introduced to many weird things today by Arian make him gradually accustomed to such things. Ahead of him was a van. However, instead of a normal van, it was a delivery van with a pizza sticker plastered across its body.
"Hop in!" Arian said before walking to another side of the van.
Entering the passenger's seat, Luke immediately attracted to the sight of the van's backside. There presents a few things, such as a computer, radio, and many other things he couldn't recognize. Throwing his bag over to the backside, Luke saw the driver door opened as the Arian figure entered.
Fastening his seatbelt, Luke inquired, "Where do we plan to go?"
Turning on the engine, Arian shortly answered, "Classified."
Before Luke can respond, the initial tightly shut gate slowly separated, creating a wide path enough for the van to go through. Shifting the gears, the van started to move and eventually flashed away, leaving only a pile of smoke behind.
