I Don't Mean To Hurt You!!

'Control.' Luke chanted inwardly.

And...As Luke expected, his attempt of controlling the beam's maneuver was failed. The beam continued its advance and eventually hit the dummy target stomach, creating another scorching mark.

"Let's try again," Luke mumbled under his breath before he began to shot another beam.

Again and again, Luke's attempt went unsuccessfully. It was akin to controlling a wild animal. The beam projectile speed was too fast to be caught or locked by his ability.

Tapping his foot repeatedly on the ground, Luke's mind drifted away on the probability of the cause of his ceaseless fiasco.

Then an idea struck his mind. Since he could create a small invisible space with his ability, why not develop it before the beam shot forth?

Based on that idea, Luke designed an invisible space in the form of a long cylinder to accommodate the beam structure. After arranging the space as he planned, Luke kept the ability intact to prevent the structure from crumbling down due to his deactivated ability.

Preparing his stance, Luke launched another beam. The soon beam projectile unleashed, Luke quickly trapped the beam inside the cylinder he made. Unfortunately, Luke truly underestimated Railgun. The beam penetrates the barrier cylinder he constructs before he knows and hits another spot on the dummy target. The Railgun beam was made to be in speed human eyes couldn't follow. Thus, Luke's experiment of guiding the beam direction was bound to be a failure. Unless his eyes and body could react faster than a normal human does.

Faster?

Luke charged up the Railgun and began releasing another shoot. However, this time Luke was prepared and already activated Time Acceleration beforehand.

Hence, with his body activity being accelerated by twice, Luke's eyes and body reacted pretty on time this time. Lifting his finger upward, Luke sees the same beam fired by Railgun began to moving upward,

Arian, who watch such a scene unfolded before his eyes, couldn't help but widen his eyes and said in surprise, "Truly a mad lad."

He was about to introduce Target Lens for increasing the accuracy of Railgun users. But watching at how Luke able to control the beam itself, Arian shook that idea off his mind.

In normal cases, even if you manage to rule the beam movement, the energy on the beam would slowly dissipate and eventually ceased to exist in the end due to constantly exposed to the open air. But, since Luke has made a confined space for the beam, such logic wasn't working for him.

However, activating both abilities simultaneously surely takes a toll on his body. Luke estimated he could only maintain directing the beam for about around 6 seconds. It's already a huge amount of time, considering how he kept coughed up blood the first time he uses Time Acceleration. The main reason his body could stay up that long was due to the Embodiment of Time.

Heaved a sigh, Luke ended up the beam motion by crashing it against the dummy's head. A clap immediately sounded behind him after he has done with his experiment. Turning his body around, Luke sees Arian expressed a satisfaction smile on his usual expressionless face, "Well done."

"I'm just lucky," Luke replied humbly.

"I was about to introduce you to a support item for Railgun, but I guess it's unnecessary now." Arian shook his head in pity.

"No! I definitely need that!" Luke quickly rebuked. Although on the surface he looks so casual when controlling the beam. It's actually wasn't easy at all. If he could get an item that could assist him, why would he refuse it?

"Okay, no need to be that impatient. I'll introduce it later. Now, let's move on to the next weapon. Give me the dagger."

Passing the dagger over, Luke said confusedly, "But I can learn the dagger by myself."

"I know, but this dagger was a Sealed Intense weapon. Thus, it needs to be stamped to be unsealed." Saying that, Arian placed a stamp over the dagger's surface before withdrawing. At first, there was no reaction. Until a few seconds passed, the dagger trembled slightly before furiously shaking as if an earthquake happened. Along with the dagger vibrate, the dagger structure suddenly went blurred.

"What's happening??" Luke asked in horror seeing the dagger shape turned blurry and abstract.

"When an Intense Weapon being unsealed. The fragment of the soul that resides in the weapon would go into a frenzied state, resulting in the weapon's special attributes leaked out. This dagger was crafted by extracting a fang of the ethereal wolf. But you don't need to worry. It's after all only fragmented souls. Thus, it's no longer poses a dangerous threat." Arian explained. He then picked the dagger up, but Luke saw Arian's hand only passing through it without being able to touch the surface.

"See? This is the specialty of Ethereal Dagger. No one could touch it physically if it were in this form. Though this form wouldn't last forever, and when it ended, the dagger would turn into its original form." Arian paused to catch a breath before continuing, "But having an unstable weapon, anyone would definitely not to choose this dagger as a weapon. So, The research team did some experiments to resolve that problem and managed to produce another product from Ethereal Wolf. This time the fruit was a pair of gloves made of his fur."

Sliding his hand into his pocket, Luke saw Arian pulled a rectangle wooden box with a wolf head emblem carved on its middle part. Rotating the wolf-head in a clockwise direction until the head part turned at the bottom, the box creaked, exposing its insides a little.

Pulled the cover gently, Luke widened his eyes due to the thing he just saw.

It was

It was...

Nothing.

"Nothing??" Luke twitched his mouth. Is this another hidden trick from the box?

Seeing Luke was perplexed as his face full of question marks, Arian confirmed his doubt, "There are pair of gloves there."

"Where? Where?" Luke scrutinized the box insides once again but couldn't find a single speck of dust, what's more, a pair of gloves.

"Try to insert your hand inside and feel it."

"Feel it?" Although Luke was quite doubtful about Arian's intention. He nevertheless did as Arian order and put his hand inside the box. Upon touching the box insides, Luke's eyes slowly widen in surprise. Instead of sensing the toughness or rigidity of wood. His finger was greeted by the sensation of a smooth thick thing.

"Is this??" Luke said as he stared at Arian astonished.

"Yes, it's the gloves fabricated from Ethereal Wolf fur. The unique thing about it was the gloves itself invisible. However, unlike Ethereal Dagger which had the ability to pass through objects. This gloves specialty was only pure invisible, and it's soft texture. But what made it notable was, if you paired the gloves with Ethereal Dagger, you could activate/deactivate Ethereal mode on Ethereal Dagger by a mere thought, due to connection both parties have."

"Try to wear these." Arian forwarded the box in which Luke accepted compellingly. Placing the box on the nearest desk, Luke starts putting the invisible gloves on his palm. Though the gloves were not visible to normal eyes, Luke could feel now his hand shrouded by thick fluffy stuff. Luke even went in a daze due to the comfiness the gloves provided. It was as if his palm finally found its home, and the only thing it wanted was to melt under a comfortable blanket and sleep within it.

Shaking his thought off, Luke reached out the dagger and held it in his right hand. This time, the blurred dagger turned into normal and finally attainable.

"Now try to attack me. I'll try to block your attack with a sword," Arian ordered as he picked a normal sword on the weapon rack.

Nodding his head, Luke distanced himself quite a bit from Arian.

"Okay, I'm ready. Go!" Arian voice still in the air when he saw Luke dashed at him at a swift speed.

As their body about to clash, Luke suddenly forcefully stopped his advance and proceeded to half-squat down before abruptly jumped. Flipping his body in the air, Luke reached out his hand and aimed his dagger at Arian's neck.

Watching the airstrike from Luke, Arian raised his sword at the same height as Luke's dagger.

Before their weapons collided, Luke, with a thought activating his dagger's Ethereal form and what he saw, made him amazed.

Instead of bumping with Arian's sword, Luke's dagger simply passed through Arian's sword as if they were in a different dimension. Arian's sword wasn't damaged, but now his neck is exposed to Luke's dagger.

As Luke landed on the ground. Luke's dagger still glued over Arian's neck, generating a little blood that began to seep out from it.

Turning his body around with a sheepish smile painted over his face, Luke smile turned frozen before exclaimed worriedly, "Ah, Senior Arian! I don't mean to hurt you!!"
