Let’s become a Hunter

Hasha opened his eyes wide in shock and suddenly became unconscious and fell to the floor.

At the same time, Hiro who was in the gaming pod suddenly opened his eyes. It was night time and the room was a little bright due to moonlight.

"Huh? What happened? - My headgear? And the po..." Hiro couldn't finish his words, his eyes were opened wide in shock and fear by seeing what was in his front.

There was a body laid right in front of him. Hiro got out of the gaming pod carefully then he looked at the face of the body that was laid in front of him.

"Aaaah!" Hiro fell back on his butt. "Hasha," he was shocked. He stood up and looked at the body.

The body was muscular, 6.6 ft. tall, wearing; half sleeve white shirt, black pants, and white shoes. He resembled Hiro only in appearance, as he was a thin 5.7 ft. body.

"No way!" Hiro exclaimed. He pinched his face, "Ouch! … It's real. No, let's try it again." He went inside the gaming pod, did not close the door, and put on the headgear. "Login," he said.

Then Hasha opened his eyes. He stood up in a hurry and looked at the gaming pod and himself(Hiro) who was in the pod had worn headgear.

Hasha's eyes were wide open due to shock. "This was the reason why I felt everything real," Hasha said, "So my player character somehow is alive and out of the game world. Hm? That's why I was in Antarctica."

Hasha looked at Hiro who was inside the gaming pod. It was night and the room's lights were not on. The moon made the room bright.

"Aunty was right! I have become so thin," Hasha said while looking at Hiro. Hiro was now in Hasha, his player character body, who was well built and tall.

Hasha went to a small wardrobe and looked at himself in the mirror. "So now I am Hasha. I sure made Hasha tall and muscular," he said, "Since I am Hasha now, I might have some power like in a game. Should I check it?"

"Then," Hasha said and waved his hand. Then big white rays of light appeared. "So I can open a portal to Oasis just by thinking," he said. Hasha then went into the portal. He appeared in the throne room of his airship, Oasis.

The room was spacious and had a round grey wall, grey floor, and ceiling. In the middle of it was dark grey, half-back throne.

Hasha looked at the spacious room. "Now I know that this all is real, it's really fascinating to see these things again in real life." He then walked toward the dark grey halfback throne.

As he was walking, the room's appearance changed. It became transparent displaying the outside view of the airship: snowy lands, white mountains, and cloudy sky.

"It's still day in Antarctica huh!" he said while walking on the transparent floor. It was as if he walked high above land on transparent glass. He sat on the throne and looked around. He could hear how it was outside the ship just from the room.

"Right now my body is at home, logged in to the game or should I say this body," Hasha said, "This means I should full dive in, in order to become Hasha." He smirked," Suddenly I have two bodies."

Hasha then closed his eyes. "Now, let's try feeling mana," he thought, "Mana is something that exists both in-game and in this world. In the real world, hunters have mana in them and since I am someone powerful player character in the game that became alive I should have mana in me like in the game."

Hasha closed his eyes and concentrated on feeling mana in him. Slowly he felt mana all in his body.

"So this is mana," Hasha opened his eyes. His purple eyes were glowing and the purple line across the face, under the eyes was also glowing. His giant-built body was emitting purple mana like steam.

Mana was unique energy that was mostly used for magic stuff.

Hasha clenched his hand, "I should check my skills and power and find out if I am as strong as I was in the game." He stood up and waved his hand, "Training room."

A large white ray-like portal appeared. Hasha went into the portal and appeared out in the large box-like empty room.

The box-like room was the training room with large two doors on both sides of the walls and on one side of the wall was rectangular glass. Behind it was an observing room.

One of the large doors opened and from it, a red hooded priest came. It had a white metal mask on its face revealing yellow eyes, wore long red hood robes and white gloves.

The priest kneeled before Hasha, "My lord, welcome back."

"Rise Priest," Hasha said.

The priest stood up.

"I want to do some training so I want you to send out challengers for me," Hasha ordered.

"As you wish, My Lord," Priest replied.

The priest walked to another large door across. He pushed to open it and stood before the darkroom.

"Let's change into battle costumes first," Hasha said. He was wearing a casual dress – half sleeve white t-shirt, black pants, and white shoes.

"Battle costume," he called.

His current clothes were replaced with a fitting black top with a purple line pattern and black pants and shoes.

Hasha looked at his battle costume, "Hmm … Instead of a window panel I can call out stuff by voice command or just by a thought."

"Full Golden armor," Hasha called.

Golden light glowed over Hasha's body. Then Hasha's whole body was covered with heavy full-body polished golden and black armor. A golden helmet appeared in his hand.

From neck to toe he had bulky golden armor, golden shoes. It made his giant figure bigger and intimidating.

Hasha wore his half-face golden helmet and raised his right hand to the right side. "Slayer," he called.

A large pointed sword with a long, round golden handle and long silver blade appeared out of light in Hasha's hand. The sword was called Slayer.

"Now then let's see what I can do," Hasha said with his purple eyes glowing. His purple line pattern on his face also glowed with his purple eyes. He looked ready and intimidating with his heavy armor and long silver sword.

After many hours, a rays-like portal opened in Hasha's bright personal chamber.

The personal chamber was Hasha's room with a large bed, magic lamps. The room had a medieval royal room interior with few modern designs.

Hasha came out of the ray-like white portal. He had no armor and was in his casual dress. He was tired and sweating. It had been more than four hours. He laid down on the large bed.

"It seems I can do all the things that I did in the game," Hasha thought while lying down on his bed. "Isn't it a cheat? – Let's rest for a while." He closed his eyes. And after a few minutes, he was asleep.

After many hours Hasha woke up.

"I fell asleep," Hasha thought. He got up and looked around. "I am still Hasha, huh it feels like I slept the whole night. I should log out."

"Logout," Hasha said. He then fell asleep on the bed.

Back in Hiro's room, Hiro opened his eyes and took out the headgear.

"Huh? It's morning already," Hiro said while closing his eyes from the sunlight. He hadn't closed the gaming pod door last night.

Sunlight had entered the room. Birds were chirping. It was morning already.

Hiro got out of the gaming pod. "Hmm … I don't feel tired or sleepy like before when I used to play all night. Does this mean my body was in sleep mode or unconscious when I was in Hasha's body?" he said. He walked to the window and opened it.

A cool morning breeze entered the room from the forested hills nearby. The place was a small village surrounded by green hills and forest.

"I should make breakfast," he said and went downstairs where it was still midday.

After helping Aunt and Uncle in the kitchen Hiro came back to his room. He sat inside the gaming pod with headgear on his lap without closing the gaming pod door. He looked at the hills outside the window and began to wander.

"Now what should I do? I used to play games most of the day but now I can't do that," Hiro looked at the headgear, "I still can't believe Hasha became real. But – I don't know what to do with him – there is no mission like in the game that I can do when I become Hasha."

Right at that moment, he remembered his big brother, Ushio: a short black hair man with a gentle face and glasses. He was the son of Uncle and Aunt with whom Hiro was living. He was in his early thirties, working in Hunters Guild in Tokyo. Uncle was the big brother of Hiro's father.

"Brother Ushio – He works in Hunter Guild. Should I become a hunter when I am Hasha," Hiro said. He then remembered a memory: a home burning in a large flame, debris, large siren. Hiro closed his eyes and clenched his fist.

"Hunter huh! Well, I don't hate them like I used to before." Hiro opened his eyes and relaxed back in the gaming pod. "With Hasha's strength, I am sure I can be a hunter. And if I can help my brother Ushio also Aunt and Uncle with that then I don't mind being a hunter," Hiro said with a sad smile.

Hiro Uncle, Aunt, and Ushio were like his own family. They took him in when his parents died. They let him do whatever he wanted. Hiro was always grateful to them and somehow wanted to be of help to them.

"Okay! Let's do that! It's not like I have anything to do," Hiro pumped up and put on the headgear for full dive in. "Login," he said.

Then in an enormous airship, hidden behind snowy mountains, in Antarctica, Hasha opened his eyes. Hiro had logged in to Hasha. Hasha was on his bed, in his own chamber, in the same way before Hiro had logged out. He was in his casual dress: white t-shirt, black pants, and white shoes.

Hasha got up, "Good! Looks like this body has gotten enough rest."

"Open portal to Tokyo," Hasha ordered.

Then a white rays-like portal appeared in front of him. Only the ship, Oasis, had the ability to open a portal to another place on Hasha's order only. However, it couldn't open a portal to the exact location. Hasha could only create a portal to the ship. Oasis was a magical airship and had consciousness of its own however it needed to be piloted.

Hasha stood before the white portal. "First let's go and find the Guild in Shibuya where brother Ushio works," he said and entered the portal.
