8. IT'S HELL HERE!!

"You scared me you know...",

Luke spoke ,still concerned about his ears that he felt were already bleeding.

I mean duh!

I was not that loud ..he is just dramatic!

"Ohh pleasseeee YOU! scared ME.

How on earth did you land up here??!!.."

"..wait ..ohhhh wait!..you are not even real, Are you??"

I felt so mad at this point because i really don't want this place to be playing tricks with me like that.

I quickly moved forward and grabbed my sibling's hand furiously as i believed he would vapourize or maybe ..I will not be able to even touch him.

But

"Oowwwww...Aura!!! Can't you seeeee!!???"

Luke howled in pain and immediately jerked his hand from mine and started gently dabbing it where i had held.

"Errr...sorry Luke. You know how much i hate pranks.

Does it hurt a lot?

How did you get that...wait stop!

Stop dabbing it like that ..show it to me."

"Oh!..so that you twist and sqeeze it this time ?"

"Ewww! Luke you are gross ..show it to me!"

He showed me his bruised hand.

It was bad.

He had fresh cuts not deep but there were many of them.

Even his face,hair and clothes looked like he crawled out of underground.

He had mud stains all over.

His face had traces of tears on it.

"Luke.." I whispered in disbelief

"Oh my god! How did this happen?..who brought you here??

And how did you endup in here!!?"

"It was dad's idea!

He wanted to make sure you reached and he kept saying you are not safe anymore so we as your family need to be with you. He told us where we had to go and very honestly ..

It all sounded cool to me !

Super fun!

But mom was worried sick."

"Then...what happened after that!!??"

I asked as my heart beat rate had shown a sudden raise.

"Will you listen to me without interrupting for once in my life!!"

He rolled his eyes.

I swear if i could i would beat the shit out of him right now .. if i was not dying to here him out.

I gave a small nod.

" so...where was I?"

He asked in a disgusting tone.

*Oh boy I am so gonna kill you.*

"What happened after dad decided to come here?"

I asked plainly hiding the rage within  me.

"Ahh..right.

So we came here from some strange junkyard like looking place.

All antique and rusty it was.

But Dad didnt know where we were to go

and he considered not asking  anyone about it. He said it was too dangerous.

We landed in front of a really cool green gateway but dad said we were not supposed to go in there.

He said we had to go to the le.. leva ileto.

Our home.

But he had no clue about the directions.

We walked around and eventually got lost.

Typical daddy thing!duh!

And i saw this place and convinced dad to get in here.

But..."

"BUT WHAT LUKE!!???",

I admit I screamed.

"But...but..

I don't know if mom and dad found there way in here...

I called out for them as i entered this place.

But as soon as i stepped in. I just slipped and woke up in a dark muddy dungeon .

The mud looked like slime and had sharp creepy animals crawling in it  whenever i tried to get up it held on to me.

Aura it was a Nightmare!!

I somehow managed to get out of that place. The place is evil because it always changes as i walk around.

Its definately not cool...so finally i ended up here.

This place is exact opposite of that place.

This whole thing is like a maze!!

A scary and a torturing one!!"

His tone had completely changed from an arrogant ass to a scared kid.

"Oh Luke..",

I took a sharp intake of air

The annoyance i was feeling a few moments back had suddenly changed to awful sadness.

I know this boy is the most annoying person i know.. but what he went through was horrible!

Luke was silently sobbing onto my hands as he spoke.

"I know i should have not come here,

I dont even know if they are here too.

Thank god i met you....i just hope we find them soon..i hope they are here...i hope they are okay Aura.

I am stupid!!..I should have waited."

He slowly began to sob louder and more miserably.

I felt my eyes go moist .

"Hey hey Luke. Its not the right time to regret .Moreover you had no idea this could happen...calm down...breathe..and listen ..

we will find them. Okay?.."

"Umm..okay. But where?"

"Let's just walk ahead...come on."

I smiled at him as i mussed his already tousled hair.

"Don't do that!" He said as he pushed me away lightly.

I giggled as we made our way in.

This place is strange and it does play a lot around my emotions.

I agree i have a lot of mood swings

But the rush of varied emotions that i feel right now are on a whole different level!!!

I feel like they are not under my control instead are controlling me!!

Strange.

I know what i have to do..i have to make sure i don't try to balance these emotions nor am i gonna help out Luke with his emotions.

I guess that's what my power does...its something to do with emotions so i have to let my emotions play me i guess.

I dont know..let's hope i am not gonna end up in a more worse situation then this.

Anddddd... of course my hopes are meant to shatter.

"Aura did you hear that too?"

"Cal...*Ahem* Lu..Luke this place is spooky enough so stop behaving like you are on the sets of a horror movie. Please!"

Why was I taking the wrong name!!

I need to work on my brain and also control what comes out of my mouth.

Especially when i have my lil' brother just beside me.

And i bet if we were accompanied by Caleb right now i would be blessed with the honour to watch him smirk on my words.

And the updates are we had now dont reached somewhere and were surrounded by stranger spooky trees with branches covering the whole place ..like literally.

Such that it created an eerie darkness around us...The ground was extremely difficult to walk on as it was nothing but thick roots of these trees and as we stepped on each...it felt like the trees gave a scary low groan and it grew more and more roots apparently.

Luke looked like he will scream any moment now if he saw anymore of this place.

We both stopped abruptly as we saw that ..very weirdly the branches and roots of these tree had stopped all of a sudden.

In front of us were creepers not on a wall but on the ground and they were creepy as hell because they were moving and didnt look like plants but like snakes with leaves on them and they were...

....Hissing!!??

Oh shoot! I forgot that Luke dreadssss snakes!!!

As i turned to Luke he was sweating badly and was biting on to his nails as his eyes were wide like saucers and he stared at the ...I don't know...the creepers in front of him.

"Luke listen...those are just creepers we have to just dorge them and move ahead."

"Nooooo freakin' way i can't just move ahead like that. NO"

"But we can't go anywhere else ...there are what looks like deep trenches on either sides and those trees behind us... I don't think they will let us walk on them again if we go back .

So please don't panic right now..come on...please calm yourself down.".

I was trying to talk soothingly just so that Luke doesn't over react right now.

"Are you even my own sister!!???

You know i can't tolerate snakes ..they are my worst fear.

AND YOU KNOW THAT!!!"

I knew it was going to be hard convincing him right now.

He was almost shaking as he started to move away.

"Hey but we have to ...we have to find mom and dad...dont we?

And these are creepers Lukiee..i won't let them do anything to you.

I promise."

I still tried to sound convincing.

I sooo need Caleb right now..he is hell convincing!!

"Have you LOST IT!???..

THEY ARE FREAKIN' SNAKES AURA!!!"

I noticed his pitch raising.

"Luke!!..Please!!

Think about Mom and Dad.

You lost them but we can find them together. We will...."

"Ohh so you think it's MY fault, IS IT!!?

No dear sissy it's YOURS!!

This is allllll happening just because of YOU!!

Dad would never come here if wasn't for you!! And you think you are doing me a favour by finding mom and dad , Are you!? "

His words were bitter and full of dislike towards me.

"Luke don't speak to me like that!!

And what the hell do you think your talking, Are you even hearing yourself right now!!?..Rubbish!!

I didn't want to come here myself okay!

These people need my help..and i m just trying to.."

"HELP!!"

He spat.

"Well I don't need your help to find my parents!! And here i was thinking you had come here searching for us."

"Hey!!!

How am i supposed to know you people are here.

And WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN BY "MY PARENTS"!!??"

"YOU CLEARLY DON'T CARE..

ABOUT ANY OF US..PARTICULARLY

ME!!"

"LUKE!!!

Lower your volume!!" I warned.

I was lossing my temper badly. And he is just getting on my nerves ..more than ever!!

"OH SCREW IT!! I AM LEAVING.

I WILL FIND THEM MYSELF."

His voice was vibrating all around and it was full of rage and hate.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK OF YOURSELF!!??..

How are you planning to leave by the way.

You are a scared COWARD!! Aren't you!?".

I spoke the words that had been forced out of my mouth.

I didn't want to...i really didn't want to.

But it was already said.

The mistake was done.

A HUGE ONE.

Luke looked taken aback.

He was staring at me like he would kill me if his eyes shot lazers.

I could literally see fumes coming out of his ears.

"No..no i didn't .."

Before i could complete my sentence he had pushed me with all his strength and hate.

I fell down hard floor on the ground causing jolts of pain within.

I could see Luke moving towards the trench ..not even sparing a glance at me...

Is he even in his senses right now!!!

"LUKEEE!!! STOP!!! NO!! PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!!"

Does he want to die!!??

I try to get up immediately to stop him from going any further.

But an inevitable sharp pain shot through my wounded wrist instantly causing a dreadful shriek from my mouth.

I closed my eyes shut to take in the impact of the pain that appeared to be stronger than gravity itself.

How much ever I tried to pull myself up with all my might but still it strongly pulled me down.

The pain seemed so unbearable that tears slowly began to roll down my cheeks.

I felt weak and powerless.

But I couldn't let this pain stop me  save my brother.I need to stop him.

As I opened my eyes , I noticed Luke was not there at all.

No, He couldn't have just jumped!!

After struggling badly I finally stood up but to my shock the trenches I had seen on the sides had closed up with solid rock and the air around it was acting like a transparent wall

Really!!??

I have no clue what's going on!!

The only way left to walk is ...straight forward.

But Luke...oh lord please bring him back to me.

He can come across a dozen of things that scare him to death.

Where do I look for all of them...how am I to know where they are?

I guess this place has left me with no other options but to walk straight.

Why does it feel like the vibes of this place are forcing me to just give up...just head back.

The disappointment i feel within makes me feel miserable...worthless and just sick of all of this.

I walk ahead of me not knowing what else to do.

I keep feeling all the emotions that make me feel extremely sad and dejected from within.

But after a while of walking aimlessly I finally come across a plain tall glass that showed me my reflection and nothing else.

It was strange and i felt it was completely useless and stupid idea to place a mirror in middle of a creepy dark place like this.

Oh no it actually makes sense.

Its perfect to place an antique mirror like this in a place like this.

They must have felt this brings that more creepy touch to the plot.

Duh!

And I won't dare look into that thing again ..what if i go mad or maybe look at a ghost or anything in there.

No way.* I stood staring down*

The darkness surrounding me took no time to fill horrible fright and fear in me.

I was petrified.

That's when i heard a clear

Knock-knock

Coming from inside or behind the mirror.

But the feeling of fear was so intense that i felt even a single look at the mirror will just . . .

Knock-knock

I heard it again.

This is a horrible feeling.

I am scared to death of that mirror in front of me yet i want to look through it as my curiosity is killing me from with in.

KNOCK-KNOCK

The sound suddenly grew louder.

I have no intentions at all to just stand here staring at my foot.

I knew i had to look up into the mirror .

But something within begged me not to .

That's when i heard a soft whimper of grief from the mirror.

Was that..... MOM!!???

My head involuntarily turned to look into the mirror and the last thing i saw was my own reflection just revolving and kind of dissolving like my cereal does into the bowl of milk .

The mirror glowed a bit.. cracked and sucked my entire body into itself so fast that my brain and legs just froze and felt

A bit gelastic.

I landed on the other side or into the mirror i dont know but I could literally visualize tiny little birds and stars revolving around my head like it does in the cartoons shows.

I again hear the whimper i had heard before.

My body panicked faster than my brain.

I managed to just standup and look around even though my brain couldn't interpret a single thing.

It was blank. Black.

Then i saw...what i thought i would see at this place, When i first came in here.

*flashback*

*I imagined this place to be dark...creepy noises...gross things...stinky creatures..sharp weapons...fire and blood all around.

But this is ....good lord is beautiful!!!*

OH!! Beautiful my foot!!

This place is exactly what i had imagined it would be like ...

IT'S HELL HERE!!

The place was full of glasses and mirrors big and small that were cracked and almost black as though it was melting and burnt.

I have to get my family out of here..

I have to.

I took in a deep breathe and started walking through what looked like a place of death.

It was stinking all around.

I felt a ridiculous disgust for this place from within.

Oh yeah! The voice..the whimper...

Where was it coming from..

I couldn't believe that something in this place was still alive and breathing.

Even though i wanted to vomit just at the sight of this place ..i knew i had to find my parents.

I had heard my mom.

Just the tiny hope within me encouraged me to walk forward.

And I heard it again

The wimper...

Somewhere....somehwere close by..

"Mom?" ,

I called out for her in a weak tone as i was too scared to shout out for her loudly.

The whimper grew louder...and almost like it was beside me .

I could see another cracked mirror with black marks and red stains of blood.

I have no other option then to walk upto it.

I did slowly and soundlessly as the whimpers turned more muffled and scared.

My heart had completely forgot that its purpose is beating.

'Cause i could feel everything around had stopped. In an insanely creepy way.

I was scared to death when i had to finally peep my head behind this mirror ..because that's where the source of these whimper was.

*Dramatic drum rolls*

No i don't need them ...i am already enough scared.

What I saw behind the mirror..

Shook me to my core.

I could see my mom and dad both covered in blood and sweat.

Mom was completely covering her mouth with her hand which was slightly burnt but was bleeding heavily.

She had a mixture of fear and tears in her eyes.

Her other hand on dad's chest as it was bleeding and scared too.

Dad was not even moving .

He just lay there .

Motionless.

Covered in blood and burnt marks.

Hot tears started to roll down my cheeks..

They were unstoppable.

My lega couldn't hold the weight i felt on myself

I dropped down on my knees beside him and tried to shake him awake furiously.

My mind fogging at the thoughts they were getting.

"Dad...oh dad no...please dad ...just wake up...talk to me...DAAADDD!!!!"

I felt him breathing very shallowly...almost as though ...he couldn't.

I was crying now.

Badly.

My mind void of everything around me.

"Mom!!mom!!..what happened??..why is he not speaking to me?"

I almost screamed in panic as i questioned my mom, Who still looked shook.

"Mom!!??"

I vigoursly shook her to get her to answer me.

My tears fogging my vision.

"Au...Auu...Auurrraa...is it real..really..you?".

I finally heard my mom utter words of disbelief.

"Mom ..I am here now. Please please tell me what's wrong with dad",

I begged hoping to get my answers from her.

"I don't know ..Aura.

Is he ...is he...".

She spoke with a lot effort and just broke down into an uncontrollable cry.

"Mom ...no ...

He is breathing.

Please don't cry.

We can fix it.

I will fix it.

Please tell me what happened to you guys?",

I whispered as i held on to both of her hands trying to comfort her.

"But he isn't talking to me Aura...he isn't responding!!"

"Mom...just calm down please."

"Aura.

I feel we should have never come here in the first place."

"Mom ...

We have to find Luke too...come on

Let's get out of here.

Please help me balance dad.

Come on "

"But where will we find Luke!?"

"I had found him once and I know i can find him again.

Anyway this is a maze .

He will turn up again."

"Aura what do you mean?

You had found him?,"

"Yes mommy i had.

But he got scared ...we saw some snakes.

I asked him to calm down and then we had a fight ..i called him a coward and he pushed me aside to just run away!!"

"And what!!??

You let him go???

Aura are you a kid!!??

Couldn't you just handle your own brother.

And what the do you mean by ...

You will find him again!!!

YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER LET HIM GO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!"

Mom was clearly holding me at fault.

I stood up..

wrapping my arms around dad who was way taller than me and was almost swaying unbalanced and hurt.

"Mom...you are getting me wrong. I couldn't..."

I paused as i saw something moving in the mid air ..shinning blue.

And when i realized what it was...

I screamed in a strange joy and relief

"DEXTER!!!!"

But all the colours drained from my face as I saw Dexter turn towards me and Luke was struggling,shouting  and pleading to let him down as Dexter gripped him through his clothes in its mouth.

"Dexter.. come down!!!

Bring him to me...come down Dexter. "

But I started to tremble as I saw Dexter fly higher up and up as I called out for him.

"Dexter!! Please come down ..pleaseeeee"

My voice cracked as i cried and pleaded for my brother.

But all Dexter did was go up higher and higher and he finally came to a stop.

"Dexter...I beg you...I need my brother pleaseeee..just get ..."

Not a single word came out of me as i froze.

I saw Dexter very happily drop my brother from above and squeal in joy and triumph.
