Spirit Orbs : Chronicles of Ra'as

Sai and Ilara walk into the coffee shop and take their seat at a table, they seem to have been engaged in a little bit of exercise judging from their gym outfit and their exasperation…


 the coffee shop seems a bit calm and business is quite slow with very few people within the shop, the décor within was quite fancy for a coffee shop going to prove that it's owner reveled in interior beauty, the atmosphere within the shop smelled of fresh coffee beans with an assortment of flavors to go with it ranging from milk to other rare mixtures, at the counter there was a casing with different assortment of cupcakes and fluffy bread to entice customers. 


"what are you gonna order for this time??" Sai asks with bated breath, Ilara motions for the waiter to come over, "the usual", the waiter nods his head and sets out to get their order, "of course…. So what are we doing today… I was thinking maybe we could check out the northern district for more clues" Sai comments with a smile


 "you just like going there cause you get to beat down thugs… someday you're gonna run into someone that will teach you a lesson" Ilara replies with a chuckle, "I doubt that" Sai chuckles as well. The waiter comes in with their order and lays out to cups of coffee with one cupcake each, "thanks" Ilara says after which she tips the waiter and he goes on his way


Sai and Ilara are about to get down to munching but are soon stopped by a voice, "detectives", Sai and Ilara turn to face Yakob who was seated at an opposite table to theirs, Yakob rises from his position and makes his way to their table before grabbing a seat and making himself comfortable


"uhmm who are you and why are you sitting with us??" Sai asked with a suspicious look on his face, "oh sorry where am I manners, my name is Agent Yakob Zarkovia, I am a high ranking agent of the 12th faction of the D.O.D and I'm also a scout responsible for bringing in new recruits to participate in the defense exams" Yakob replies with a smile, "wait, you're a D.O.D operative??..." Sai asks with a flustered look, "exactly" Yakob nods has he munches on a muffin


"wait I think I've heard your name before…" Ilara comments with a knowing look on her face, "Gr'egor might have mentioned me once or twice, regarding the prospects of the both of you joining the D.O.D" Yakob responds, "that's correct, now I remember you… but I thought you weren't gonna come back" Ilara admits


"how could I not, after all the work the both of you have done in service of this city, you guys deserve a chance to prove you're worthy to enter the D.O.D" Yakob explains, "hmm so you mean you're here to invite us to the defense exams" Sai asks, "exactly… in fact" Yakob takes out an envelope with a card and hands it to Ilara, Ilara grabs it and immediately tries to open the envelope but is stopped by Yakob


"there will be no need to open the envelope now, just get yourselves ready to leave in a months time to take part in the exams….. Also just so as to avoid being merged with someone you may not be able to work with, I'd advise you guys find a third member that you can work with. Also the card I gave you has my contact on it so if you have any questions or request you can reach me with it" Yakob added as he was about to take his leave


"a third member….. Why??" Sai asks with a raised eyebrow, "I'll explain in due time, though the third member is not important but I'd advice you to find one anyways, I'll be taking my leave now, have a wonderful day detectives" Yakob walks out of the coffee shop leaving Sai and Ilara to their thoughts.
