The Altered Revenge

It was a close race, but Ryan Bellows lost the vote to First Mayor of Mars Cynthia Drope. Bellows expressed his anger over the outcome earlier today, attacking Drope's Altered heritage and promising swift retribution. Security measures in Washington, D.C. and Moscow have been tightened in response.

PETER COULDN'T SLEEP. His body begged for it, but his mind blazed with errant thoughts and hypothetical scenarios. While the other Hunter Guards snored in the wide barracks, he agonized. Royce Collins was alive, asleep, a few buildings down, machines pumping life-saving fluids into his body. Between guarding his cell and going on several patrols since the shootout, Peter hardly believed his body could endure any more thought of that pathetic man.
