Isaac Hess lives in Greensboro, North Carolina with his family, three dogs, and evil cat. EVE WAS DYING. Of that, at least, she was certain. Huge, dark shapes screamed overhead, like giant, menacing birds whose wings never flapped. Her back felt like it was on fire, but she was cold all over. She clenched her fists, brushing aside some of the loose dirt covering her legs. Teth appeared over her, frowning.
