Karim Sissoko is the author of the book series Lightning. He lives in Florida, is of Haitian descent and is attending college for “a piece of paper that proves I’m smart”. He enjoys his passion of writing, particularly the fantasy genre but he also enjoys science fiction. He plays a lot of video games, watches a variety of anime and enjoys making art. Before there were humans, there were Astrals. When Storm Hinato is branded an assassin by the queen, his own guardian, his world falls apart. A masked man chases after him, a war god longs to test his strength and he finds himself caught in a war that spans across the worlds. Will he find the strength to press on? Or will he fall to the chaos like those before him?

Lightning

The floor was wood, and the counter was wood as well. There were multiple things being sold, specifically food. Some sandwiches were cooked and still warm. Storm walked into the back, not seeing anybody there either. 


"This is really weird-where're all the people who got off with us?" he asked himself, walking to the front. 


Looking at the price menu, he got his wallet from his pocket and placed the money on the counter, then collected some sandwiches, drinks, and a few sweets as well. 


"Thanks for the service," he said aloud as he passed by the counter on his way out. 


He placed everything in the bag he had and walked outside. It had begun to rain a bit. Storm looked at the cloudy sky and saw a few birds. There was one bird in particular didn't look right to him. In fact, it looked like it had a long tail of some sort and was black, like the creature they had seen on the ship. It was also heading in his direction. He guessed that it was Nigramala's doing.
