Karim Sissoko is the author of the book series Lightning. He lives in Florida, is of Haitian descent and is attending college for “a piece of paper that proves I’m smart”. Before there were humans, there were Astrals. When Storm Hinato is branded an assassin by the queen, his own guardian, his world falls apart. A masked man chases after him, a war god longs to test his strength and he finds himself caught in a war that spans across the worlds. Will he find the strength to press on? Lightning

Storm jumped back a short distance, panting hard. The boy looked at his hand, seeing his fingertips black from the effects of the lightning. His hands were shaking as well, and his body started feeling heavy. The consequences were starting to catch up to him and it'd only been a few minutes.


Storm stared into the hole he created, suddenly hearing a large yell. Timekeeper rose from the ground with his blade, attacking Storm. Storm foresaw this and dodged his attack with his speed. He backed away again with two short jumps. Timekeeper laughed, the masked man throwing his blade into the ground. 


"FINE!" he said, putting his hands together. 


Storm quickly ran towards him, but not quick enough, as a field of blue energy grew to the surrounding area.
