Chapter 4: Regrets and Revelations

Universe 3, Sunday, September 8th 1995. Hogwarts Grounds, Hogwarts, Scotland.

As the group is walking back towards Hogwarts, Hazel and Lily Potter distinctly trail behind the newly revealed Harry Potter who's currently speaking quietly with Headmaster Dumbledore. Hazel herself can't quite take her eyes off the figure a few yards in front of her, even as her mother lightly nudges her with a gentle smile. She hums and forces herself to look over, quirking an eyebrow lightly at her mother who softly speaks to her.

"I suppose he's not quite what you imagined dear?" Her mother stares at her, examining her face with the same gentle smile.

She shakes her head and smiles back sweetly. "On the contrary, at first glimpse I don't think I could imagine anyone better. However, I'll need to get to know him before I make any final statements. And depending on how we reveal him towards the rest of Hogwarts, or even Britain's Magic Community, there may be some stigma when our bond is known by the public." Her smile turns slightly bittersweet as she turns her eyes back to the man in front of her. She hums once while closing her eyes halfway, staring him up and down for a few seconds. She then mutters to herself. "Bloody hell, he is sexy. He's clearly a relative, either a brother or another version of me… Does that make me a narcissist?"

To her side her mom snorts loudly, and her face turns pink when she realizes she heard her. "Good to know darling, but maybe keep that to yourself? And the answer to your question is no, that's just silly. Anyway, we should catch up, we're being left behind." She finishes her statement with a wink as she hurries her pace, catching up to the hobbling Moody who's faster than he looks. Hazel huffs but moves faster nonetheless, as the group makes their way up the grounds, nearing the castle. When she grows closer to the group she notices that Harry and the Headmaster have stopped talking, and that Harry himself was eerily quiet as he glances at the castle. She frowns lightly in concern as she notices a flash of pain in his eyes, as she moves adjacent to him.

And with one final thought, she enters the castle alongside the others. 'I wonder if he's okay? He seems very weary…'

Universe 3, Sunday, September 8th 1995. Headmasters Office, Hogwarts, Scotland.

As the group made their way up through the castle of Hogwarts, Harry can only look around with a nostalgic and lightly bitter view. Nostalgic, because this is the same castle he's called home forever, and bitter, because the last time he was in it; it was crumbled altogether from his fight with Voldemort. He remembers pillars falling, and charred bodies of both sides everywhere. He remembers the horror he felt when he saw the familiar flash of green light hit the Headmaster. He idly notes the passageway that would lead directly towards the Ravenclaw tower, the place he used to call home. And as they reached the Headmasters Office, he's jolted from his daze from a light touch on his arm that sends a shock up his arm. He pulls back lightly in surprise before looking over at the diminutive girl who smiles gently with an unnoticeable look of concern.

"We're here Harry, everyone else has already entered." She shyly speaks towards him, her voice appealing in a way he's never noticed from anyone else. "And… are you okay? You seemed slightly out of it on our way here."

He smiles politely, ignoring the way his body reacts at her voice and proceeds to clamp down on his mental barriers. "Thank you for your concern. I'm okay… mostly. Anyways, shall we go up? Ladies first." He replies lightly while gesturing up the stairs. She smiles brighter, however the look of concern doesn't leave. As she proceeds to walk up the stairs, he follows her and as his eyes settle on her swaying hips, he thinks to himself in annoyance. 'I should have went first.'

As the two enter Dumbledore's Office, they notice that Professors Snape and McGonagall have already left, likely for their own offices. The Headmaster himself sits behind his desk comfortably, and in front of his desk sits 6 chairs. Said chairs are already filled by Professors Lupin and Potter, while Sirius and Moody fill another two. As Harry and Hazel both go and settle down, Hazel speaks up while looking around curiously.

"Where did Tonks go? Was she only here for the ritual?"

Nearby Moody grunts and replies, taking a swig from the flask on his hip. "That's right lass. She left through the Floo and returned to the Auror Office."

The Light Lord himself then speaks, picking a lemon drop up from a container on his desk. "Yes, we really only had as many people with us on the chance whomever we brought over wasn't as amiable as our Mr. Potter is. Ah, a lemon drop anyone?" Said Potter snorts and smiles fondly, reaching a hand forward and accepting said piece of candy as Sirius pipes up from where he's sitting.

"Harry, you don't mind if I call you that do you? You can actually eat those things? That's impressive." He smirks as Remus sighs while rolling his eyes. Lily rolls her eyes as well and Sirius continues. "Anyway, since you're a Potter, you know us don't you? Tell me, was I as devilishly handsome in your world as I am here?"

"Harry's fine Padfoot, I much prefer it to Pronglet anyway. And yeah, I know you. You were the one who raised me as my Godfather after all. And as for the last part, well you had no trouble getting partners if that's what you mean? You and Moony were quite close if you know what I mean." He replies with a gleam in his eye that everyone except Sirius catches, and Lily and Hazel both bite their lips to hide their smiles, and Moony himself chuckles softly along with Dumbledore. As for Sirius?

"You're joking right? That can't be, all those poor women who never got to know the wonders of Sirius Black…" He speaks dramatically but trails off as he notices the faces of those around him, and relaxes with a roll of his eyes. "Haha. That was a good one, you're definitely Prongs's kid. Pronglet huh…" He continues thoughtfully speaks, looking towards Hazel who narrows her eyes back at him.

"Don't even think about it Padfoot." She huffs out as Remus clears his throat and begins to speak towards Harry.

"Harry, if I may. You said Sirius was the one who raised you? Then James and Lily…" He trails off as Harry finishes the piece of candy, idly toying with a ring on his left hand.

"Yes my parents were killed when I was a toddler, by Voldemort of course. He intentionally sought me out and left me with this fancy scar on my head, and in turn I was left with Sirius." He closes his eyes while speaking, not noticing Lily's face droop sadly, and Hazel reaching out and holding her mothers hand. "I was raised well, all things considered. Sorted into House Ravenclaw, if you're curious. And mentored under my Dumbledore for years. I'm quite gifted if I may say, and I absorbed everything he was willing to show me. I lived relatively peacefully until I was 15, where I was summoned by yet another Dumbledore, in the middle of the Great Hall of Hogwarts nonetheless. For the next year I would fight a Voldemort who matched me on all sides, magical power included. And just hours previously, I defeated him. After passing out in the ruins of Hogwarts, I woke up and was notified by an… acquaintance of mine, that I was about to be summoned again. And here we are." He finishes his statement while opening his eyes, glancing at the people around him. Sirius's previous expression of joy was now a very serious one, and Remus and Moody's eyes widened when he mentioned Voldemort matched him in power.

Hazel, while sitting next to him, audibly mutters out loud "The ruins of Hogwarts?", but her voice is drowned out by Dumbledore who stares directly at Harry and proceeds to speak firmly. "I have many questions young Harry, but firstly, you mentioned Voldemort targeted you as a child?"

Harry looks at him and hums in confirmation. "He did, I believe it was due to a prophecy of some sort, I never got the contents of it. And in case you're curious, the Killing Curse rebound off my head and struck him. The Dumbledore from my world confirmed that he was killed for good as well."

"Secondly, you mentioned Voldemort fought you equally did you not? How can that be, considering you casually just changed the weather with a wave of your hands? I know the powers of Tom Riddle well, however even at his most powerful he cannot do that." Dumbledore continues, his eyes twinkling curiously at Harry's mention of the Killing Curse. He leans forward as Harry begins to reply once more.

"Hmm? Yeah he could match me, considering his power of fire-…" He trails off while tilting his head slightly. Then, as if struck by lightning, he jerks forward and his eyes open widely. He glares towards Dumbledore urgently and blurts out loudly. "Quick! What's today's date? Maybe if I'm quick I can stop him from performing the ritual!"

Dumbledore's eyes widen in surprise, and to the side Moody's head snaps towards Harry's triumphantly. To the side Lily, Sirius, and Remus lock eyes with a look of revelation. Dumbledore then calmly begins to reply as Hazel looks around in confusion at everyone's reactions. "Today's date September 8th 1995. Judging from your reaction, you know what it is that Voldemort is searching for currently? You mentioned his power over fire? But if I recall correctly, Tom doesn't use fire magic that often? Besides Fiendfyre that is…"

"Ah… I see. September 8th huh? Guess I was too worried, I should probably go take care of that sometime soon however." He visibly relaxes backwards with a sigh, his voice growing quieter towards the end of his sentence. He then lazily glances at the Light Lord and speaks up louder. "Not fire magic no, but Fire Magic. It's something completely different. He receives said power with a disgusting ritual, on the 31st of October, this year."

Moody proceeds to grunt angrily and growls towards him. "Out with it boy, what's he searching for exactly? And what is it that gives him, from your words, the power to match a Fay head to head?"

Professor Lupin politely coughs, and speaks as well. "Yes please elaborate Harry. Earlier Severus reminded me to ask you, as he has had no luck in getting the secret from Voldemort himself, he's a spy you see." Harry grimaces lightly at Professor Snape's name, and with a sigh he straightens in his chair and looks around the room, nodding once.

"Right, well the main ritual in question is one of Usurpation. And as for what he's searching for? Well by this date, he's likely already got the location of it. And the it in question, is a dragon. The last Elder Dragon to be exact. You'd know it by the name of Y Ddraig Goch." He speaks out casually, his face twisting into a frown at the name of the dragon. As the Light Lord closes his eyes in resignation, Moody mutters "Damn it." underneath his breath. Remus, Lily, and Sirius all grimace darkly in recognition, and Hazel simply sits there in confusion at everyone's reactions. A minute passes by and no one says anything, and as Hazel grows visibly annoyed, her eyebrow twitches once, then twice as she blurts out loudly.

"What the bloody hell is an Elder Dragon, and how the hell does it turn Voldemort into someone who spams Avada Kedavra's like they're something new, into someone who can fight someone else who can casually throw lightning bolts? And you called Hogwarts a ruin earlier didn't you? How the hell did that happen exactly?" She huffs out, her voice trailing off and her face turning red as everyone looks at her.

Lily snorts, then pinches the hand that's still holding onto her daughter. "Hazel Lillian Potter, watch your language. All you had to do was ask if you were curious, no need for the cursing. As for your questions… Well an Elder Dragon is exactly what it sounds like, to an extent. They're an extinct breed of Dragons that are much larger, much more powerful, and more intelligent than most humans. At least, we thought they were extinct." She trails her voice off while looking towards Harry in concern. Said boy was currently looking at the red faced girl in hidden admiration, either at her temper or her looks. He coughs once while looking towards the copy of his mother and begins to speak, still toying with a ring on his finger.

"Yes they're extinct, all for one like I said. He's currently residing on an island hidden by so much magic that it will likely stay forever separated from the world. You could call it, a retreat, or safe haven for all things magical. It's quite famous in storybooks, both magical and mundane alike." He smiles sardonically, raising his hand as if presenting it. None of them piece things together, until Dumbledore from where he's sitting inhales audibly while staring at the symbol on the ring. He then speaks again, rubbing a finger over said ring. "I see you recognize it Headmaster, yes this is one of the two keys that reveals the location of the island to those who wears them. Of course, there are a few prerequisites in order to even get to these things. One is blood descent."

"The Ring of Emrys… I thought it was lost to time." Dumbledore softly speaks as Lily and Remus both gasp. Sirius raises his brows in surprise, and Moody grunts while taking another swig from his flask. Hazel simply looks in confusion before recognizing the name, her eyes widening as she looks at the ring closer.

"Emrys? Wasn't that Merlin's name? How in… well Merlin's name do you have his ring?" She says, reaching out a hand as if to touch it. She looks at him for approval, and when he nods she touches it, a spark of hidden magic rushing into her body. Not that anyone noticed such a thing. He glances at his ring curiously for a second, feeling it warm slightly at her touch, but he brushes it off when Lily begins to speak, and he looks over at her.

"Harry, you mentioned blood descent. Do you mean that you're a direct descendant of Merlin? I suppose he was the last Fay wasn't he? Also… Does that come from James's side of the family, or mine?" She speaks curiously at first, then hesitatingly while looking at his reaction. Said expression is suspiciously blank for a second, before he smiles resignedly while nodding towards her and pulling his hand back. Before he speaks, he rubs his ring once more, this time with a touch of magic in his fingers. The symbol on his ring changes into that of the sign of House Ravenclaw. He holds up his hand once more, this time displaying the new symbol to their widening eyes.

"It comes from you Mrs. Potter, to be exact, you're a direct descendant of Ravenclaw, and in turn Emrys. I suppose that he must have married Rowena Ravenclaw herself? We may never know. In any case, being Merlin's heir doesn't amount to anything except this ring, which as I mentioned is a ticket straight to the Isle of Avalon itself. House Ravenclaw, however, has a vault in Gringotts at the very bottom of their cave system. Inside it resides many treasures, in particular old books and quite a bit of gold. And of course, this ring."

The Headmaster hums lightly while stroking his beard. "Avalon hmm. I thought that was simply another tale, but even after all my years; the world of Magic still holds many secrets I see. Did Merlin marry Rowena? We could always go ask the Gray Lady, if anyone were to know she would be the one."

Lily blurts out then, in excitement that slowly changes into confusion. "I'm an heir of Ravenclaw? How did you find out about that Harry? Also, you mentioned books did you not? Do you perhaps have them in that place you pulled those vials from? Also, how on earth does Ravenclaw have a vault in Gringotts? It was founded in 1474AD and Hogwarts was built in 990AD… Well there was one mention of Merlin existing outside of time, whatever that means. Maybe he knew how to actually time travel?" She trails off thoughtfully as Professor Lupin begins to speak up.

"Also, if I may. You mentioned that ring was one of two keys that leads to Avalon? Should we assume Voldemort has the other one?" While Lily speaks, Harry hums at her questions in approval, his inner Ravenclaw enjoying listening to another intellectual. Before he can respond, Remus speaks and his face grimaces at his questions regretfully. He sighs once and turns to him, speaking clearly.

"Yes, I would imagine he already has the ring and has been to Avalon once or twice before. It's a unique place, Avalon. It holds at least two of every magical creature you could imagine, and of course, the Castle of Camelot rests there as well. I call it unique because magic with the intent of harming anyone or anything cannot be cast there. And before you ask, Tom Riddle has no intent on hurting the Last Elder Dragon: only usurping his powers which brings the result of killing it. Intent Magic isn't always accurate after all." He smiles wryly while Sirius snorts, unbelieving that the rituals necessary for such a thing wouldn't be stopped. Next to Harry, Hazel mouths 'Camelot?' to herself silently and Albus's eyes twinkle in curiosity.

He then speaks up again, continuing with his previous statement. "You also have to remember, when back when the Founders were alive, all magic was used equally. Just because one or two spells or rituals cause horrific agony, or death at times; they were no less viable methods when it came down to whatever their goals were. And before you ask how Tom got his ring, I believe it came into his possession the same way I got mine to an extent. The other ring of course, belonged to Merlin's self proclaimed rival. The one who successfully Usurped the power of Ice from his Elder Dragon friend, Albion the White. Of course you'd know her by Morgan Le Fay. This is just an assumption, so take it as you will. I believe that the requirements for her decedent to get her ring are something along the lines of: performing the most evil of magic, successfully getting immortality, and perhaps having a Fay as an opponent. I don't know how she managed that exactly, but the results are the same nonetheless. Tom Riddle has the key of Avalon, and has likely already located the Red One. If I know him like I know I do, he's now just searching for the remaining rituals necessary to steal his power. Before that happens, I'll have to head over to the Island myself, and take care of Ddraig personally. It's regrettable, but that's how it is…" He trails off, not looking as he's regretting such a notion at all.

Before anyone speaks up, Moody who was previously silent in his chair, growls loudly in annoyance. "I've heard enough. You're going to prevent Voldemort from getting any stronger aren't you Potter? And if you do that, you can just fling a few lightning bolts at him and be done with it? All this talk of Merlin and Avalon is unnecessary for me, so I'm going to leave now that I've got what I wanted. I'll be back for you though boy, I'd like to know exactly what happened in your previous world. I've seen a little of what you could do outside… A Voldemort with that kind of power had to leave destruction wherever he went yeah?" At Harry's grimace, he nods once before getting up and heading to the Fireplace inside Dumbledore's Office, with a few quick movements he grabs some powder, and in a flash of fire he's gone.

The room is quite for a few moments before Professor Lupin coughs lightly, getting up from his own chair and stating. "I believe it's time I retire as well, I still have many questions, but let me be the second to welcome you Harry Potter. I hope you find this world to your liking, and that you can find a place that you can call home. As the fact that we were likely close in your world, feel free to call me Moony unless I'm teaching." He winks towards Harry once grabbing Sirius firmly, who yelps while getting up himself, and walking towards the exit. "Wait Moony, I still have questions" Can be heard from Padfoot as he's dragged out of the room, which quickly goes silent as the number of occupants drop to four.

Nobody speaks for a few moments, before Lily politely coughs while staring at her daughter. She proceeds to speak softly. "Dear perhaps it's time you return to your Common Room as well? It's already 8:30PM and curfew is at 9. I'm sure Hermione and Ron are waiting for you."

At her statement, Hazel protests loudly. "Mom you can't be serious, I have so many things to ask Harry, and well…" She trails off, glancing towards him shyly as he looks at her curiously and with a smile. Her face turns lightly red as he begins to speak towards her.

"May I call you Hazel? I'd like to speak with you in private sometime tomorrow, if that's okay Hazel? I have quite a few questions, both about you and your life in this world. Also, about one other thing…" He trails off, not voicing his current thoughts. 'Like why the hell am I attracted to someone who looks like a very sexy female me? And why am I attracted to someone at all? I really thought I was asexual…' He then speaks up again, staring directly into her eyes. "I believe that Headmaster Dumbledore and I have many things to talk about, alongside Mrs. Potter. One being how are we going to explain my presence here at Hogwarts, and what is my relation to the Potter Family. We'll likely be here for a while, and a beautiful young woman like yourself will likely want her beauty sleep right?"

Her face, once pink, turns blood red and she sputters lightly before coughing and turning to her mother, not replying to his comment. "Fine mom, I'll go to bed. I love you, and if you talk to dad later on your mirror tell him the same. And Harry, we can speak tomorrow after my classes end okay?" She doesn't look at him as she hugs her mom once, nodding at Headmaster Dumbledore and walking to the exit, all to aware of his eyes aimed at her.

After she leaves, he waits a few moments before leaning forward in his chair and speaking. "Right, I have a few questions I didn't want to ask with her around. I'll apologize in advance Mrs. Potter, but why in the bloody hell am I attracted to her? I've never looked twice at anyone, boys or girls both. But I feel a pull stronger than most magnets telling me to attach myself to her and never let go. Can one of you two explain, or am I simply finally experiencing puberty?" He crosses his arms in embarrassment as Dumbledore chuckles slightly, and Lily smiles towards him softly.

She hums for a second before speaking towards him, just as gently as she spoke towards her daughter. "Harry you can call me mom if you feel comfortable with it, we'll likely use that as your cover story after all, and it is true. Now then, I see you're unaware of the inactive bond so allow us to explain…" She continues, explaining many things to the uncomfortable teenage boy. The discussion between the three would last for a few more hours, and later as Harry Potter lays on a bed in the Castle of Hogwarts, he groans while closing his eyes.

As flashes of Hazels covered body appear in his head, he can't stop thinking about her lower half, and her ass in general. With another groan he feels himself grow uncomfortably hard, and with a sardonic frown he muses to himself, ignoring it. 'If only I could speak to my Sirius again, I'm sure he would be glad to know I prefer women's butts over their chests. But it's not women is it, it's just one. A Soul Bond huh… That's interesting.' His body eventually calms down as he grows drowsy, and he eventually settles into a deep sleep.

A few hours before their conversation was finished, Hazel herself was entering the Gryffindor Common room with a smile on her face. She notices that it's pretty much empty, as curfew was near and most students were likely in bed. Near the fireplace, sitting on two of the comfy chairs, rested her two friends. Hermione herself sat with a book on her lap, reading it idly. Ron on the other hand was half asleep, looking as if he were about to pass out. They both look up at the sound of someone walking over, and Hermione smiles while closing her book and patting the seat next to her in invitation.

Ron however, began to speak with a teasing smile on his face. "About time you got here Hazel. So how was he? Did you woo him?" As she sits down she huffs towards him, ignoring the way her face turned pink again. Ron guffaws and speaks again. "Looks like he wooed you instead huh? I'll have to congratulate him, never thought I'd see you blush over a boy."

Hazel rolls her eyes and proceeds to speak. "No Ronald, neither of us wooed each other, we barely had the opportunity to speak to be honest, I told him to find me tomorrow however, so I should be able to get to know him then." She trails off as Hermione stares a hole into her head, and with a smile she continues. "I'm sure you're curious Hermione? Let's see, a few things you might find interesting about him? First of all, he's a Fay. A complete one, not partially like me. Did you notice the weather increase drastically around thirty minutes ago? His mere presence did that, and he stopped it with a wave of his hand! Secondly, he's a Potter. To be precise, he seems to either be a twin of mine, or a male version of myself, and his name is Harry Potter. And yes, he's as sexy as you're imagining." She finishes her statement as Hermione's eyes glaze over in thought. She snaps out of it with a light blush as she glares at Hazel who laughs, and to the side Ron rolls his eyes for a few seconds before tilting his head in thought.

"Oh, and he's also the Heir of Ravenclaw and Merlin, and he has access to many of Ravenclaw's books from what he said. And the Island of Avalon." She casually stops speaking as Hermione visibly vibrates in excitement, her eyes shining curiously and her previous blush gone.

"How exciting! Harry Potter huh? And a Fay? The Heir of Ravenclaw and Merlin, and Avalon is real? I don't know where to start, but you said he's another version of yourself? Hmm…" She starts strong but slows down in thought before continuing. "Well, the incest thing won't be a problem. After all studies have shown that in certain cases instead of causing birth defects, it instead strengthens magic several fold. There may be a few wrinkled noses aimed towards you two when your bond is revealed, but there shouldn't be too much stigma. I wonder what the implications of being Merlin's Heir is? Is it just a fancy title, or does it give him any benefits? Also, the books of Ravenclaw? Hazel you have to get him to lend them to you, and then me! And he's the one who caused that ridiculous lightning earlier? I knew it wasn't supposed to rain that hard. Those lightning bolts looked absolutely mean!" Hermione trails off herself as Ron clears his throat while speaking importantly.

"Yes, I'm glad Hazel has her perfect half. Figures it would be a boy her. All this talk about Merlin and Avalon is a little too much, but from what I understand… You're Harry can change the weather can't he?" He leans forward, folding his hands together seriously. "That means he can give us perfect Quidditch weather all year long no?" As Hermione stares in disbelief at her red headed friend, Hazel's eyes light up furiously in happiness as she replies victoriously.

"Absolutely! If he's anything like me or dad then he'll love Quidditch! It's the perfect use of those ridiculous powers!" She smiles in agreement as Hermione slumps to her side, groaning audibly. Hazel glances at her friend. "Okay there 'Mione?"

Hermione simply sighs in response, mumbling towards them. "I'm fine, just lamenting the thought of weather altering powers being used for Quidditch games, and not… I don't know, traveling places that don't have rain and giving them some? Or if he can make ice, taking a trip to the Ice Caps and freezing them solid a little more." She smiles when the two of them laugh sheepishly, and with a jolt she notices the time and begins to get up. "Look at the time Ronald, curfew has started. We have Prefect Patrol, so let's get going shall we? And Hazel, try not to have any interesting dreams about your boy won't you?" She winks towards her friend as Ron and her exit through the painting, and an oblivious Hazel sits in her place for a few more seconds, idly curious as to what Hermione meant exactly.

Hours later, long after she covered her bed with curtains and silenced them, a habit she kept after a series of nightmares a few years back, the restless figure of Hazel could be seen through her flimsy nightclothes. One hand was firmly gripping her lightly heaving chest, playing with her hardened nipple as it sent jolts down her body. The other was in between her legs, lightly rubbing her soaked privates, the aftershocks of her first ever orgasm slowly beginning to die down. She groans lightly while musing to herself, trying to ignore the distracting thoughts of Harry's body and what she'd like him to do to her. 'So this is what Hermione meant… Was that a dirty dream then? I've never had one… That was quite something. That boy is going to be trouble.' She finishes her train of thought while pulling her hands away, grateful for her silenced bed. She would've been mortified if she woke one of her roommates up with a dream like that, and with a huff she rolls over, trying to return to bed. Later, as she fell asleep again, she'd find herself forgetting her previous dream as the next one she was about to receive, would be much more exciting. And memorable.
