Lisa stood from her computer desk and stretched her arms over and above her head. Godiva wove in and out between her legs. She bent backward as far as she could and then forward as far as she could. She tried touching her toes and almost made it. She had sat too long at the computer and had numerous aches and pains she didn't want to think about. She needed to get into her exercise program again.
Godiva meowed louder. "I know, Godiva. I'm hungry, too. Let's see what we'll have tonight. You'll have your usual dry food. Here you go"-she poured some cat chow into her bowl-"and I'll have, let's see. How about some chicken noodle soup?" She retrieved the can from the pantry, opened it, and poured it into a bowl to microwave. Then the doorbell rang.
