Chapter 29: Fighting Back, Part 3

Immediately, the men held up their hands. "What's the meaning of this?" the leader demanded.

"What do you think?" Trevor asked, a gleam coming to his eye.

"Out of the car!" Derek yelled, motioning toward the pavement with his gun.

"Okay, okay!" the Caucasian insurgent in the passenger seat quickly agreed, stepping from the car. "Don't shoot!"

Funny how they turned coward when the guns were pointing at them.

But the man driving and the dark-skinned man in the back seat just raised their hands, saying nothing. Their eyes shifted back and forth between us.

"Look out!" I yelled when the insurgent in the back reached behind his head and pulled a pistol from between his shoulder blades and, as if in slow motion, Travis knocked it out of his hands and opened fire, along with the other boys.
