Victoria grabbed him, holding him tightly. "I've missed you, son." 


After a moment, she released him and he sat down at the kitchen table while Victoria poured him a glass of sweet tea. Seth took a long sip, which tasted heavenly. "Now tell me what you've been up to," Victoria asked. 


Seth told Victoria all about going to his Great Uncle Herman's house, to the St. John's Farmer's Market, and working in his garden. Then he paused for a moment. How could he tell his mother the rest? He knew that she would think he was crazy. But he continued. "Mom, I don't know how to tell you this..." Seth paused, not knowing if he was doing the right thing. "Great Uncle Herman is a sorcerer." 


"Yes, I know," Victoria said calmly. "Please continue."
