"'Dracon has taken the castle,' Sir Addison said, almost falling off his horse. He was seriously injured, having been stabbed in the chest with a sword. He had lost a lot of blood. 


"'Here, let's get you inside,' I told him. But he was adamant. 


'No, I have to tell you this before it's too late,' he continued, trying desperately to stay on his horse. 'Dracon killed King Oreck himself, and then fought his way into the castle tower where Queen Cassandra had been hiding. In a last effort to save her child, she hid her daughter somewhere safe from Dracon within the castle.' 


"He told me that just before Dracon found the queen, she had taken some form of poison." Victoria paused at the memory with troubled eyes, shaking her head. 


"Why did she do that?" Seth interrupted, engrossed in the story.
