"I wanted you to meet your father." Victoria took one of his hands into both of her own and looked deeply into his eyes. "I wanted you to know what kind of a man he is."


"But when you left, you didn't know if he was alive or dead," Seth said, as concern filled his eyes. 


"You're right, I didn't," Victoria replied with a sigh. "But, somehow, I always knew that he was alive, in my heart. In Cambria, that is." Victoria said the last part with a smile. "I thought that you had a right to know about your father, where he came from, and who he was as a person, a knight, and as a father."


"But you should have told me first before you sent me there," Seth replied. He didn't mean to accuse, but wished he had been briefed first before going to visit Herman.
