Seth stopped pacing when he heard this and took a deep breath, trying to focus. Then calmly asked, "When is the joust?"


Colin took a deep breath, looking deeply into his eyes, judging. "This Friday."


"What day is today?" Seth asked frantically, looking around.


"Watch your language, young man," Colin said firmly, with a stern look in his eyes. "The time will come soon enough."


Seth thought for a moment, looking down, trying to calm himself. "How are we going to do this?"


"We will discuss it on the morrow," Collin instructed. "Now, go get some sleep."


Colin knocked him to the ground. "I said, watch your mouth!" Then, after a moment he added with a forlorn look in his eyes, "I know that your mother taught you better."


Seth got up and brushed himself off, then anger poured from his lips. "What do you care about my mother?"


"You need to have a little respect, Seth!"
