Chapter 90: Cambria, Part 3

"Do you like it?" Briana asked, crossing the room to place a hand upon his shoulder.

"It's beautiful," Seth said as he ran his hand gently across the chainmail and steel. He walked across the room, running a hand along the polished steel of his formal armor, as well.

"I took the liberty of having both of them made especially for you," Briana paused to take a breath, "after you left."

Seth heard the pain in her voice and, when he turned, the pain was evident within her eyes. "Briana ..." he said, pulling her close. "I never meant to hurt you. I hope you understand why I left."

"Yes, of course, and I knew that you would return," she replied, pulling back to look directly into his chocolate brown eyes. "Take all the time you need. My heart will always be yours and I will always be waiting."

"Briana, I ..." Seth began, about to tell her that she didn't have to wait for him, that if she met someone, she was free to marry, but he stopped short, hoping that it wouldn't happen.
