Chapter 105: Colin, Part 3

A man at the campfire suddenly threw another log onto the fire and it quickly lapped at it in tongues of red, orange, and yellow, blazing high into the sky. The men scooted back, away from the blaze and the heat.

"Move!" the guard yelled, shoving Colin roughly with his sword. They walked through the dense forest where it became even darker. They walked through the oak, maple, and cedar trees through the dense, ancient mosses that hung from the canopy overhead, passing a beautiful waterfall that gleamed gray in the moonlight. "Alright, that is far enough," the guard replied, stopping.

"Give me a minute?" Colin asked, indicating that he had to go to the restroom.

The guard rolled his eyes and turned his back. After a few minutes, the guard said, "Okay, Colin. That is long eno ..."

Before he could finish the sentence, Colin knocked him out with one punch. He quickly dragged the guard behind a tree and took his sword.
