Cambria

Seth, Bryce, Reese and the rest of the knights walked through the village just inside later that night, leading the horses carrying the fallen knights through the castle walls. As they passed through the village of Cambria, some women screamed upon seeing the lifeless bodies of the fallen knights, others shielded their faces, crying, while others fell to their knees, quickly making the sign of the cross over their chests.


"Alert!" one of the squires announced to the inhabitants of Cambria as Seth and his men slowly approached. 


"My God!" Briana yelled as she ran toward him. "What happened? Are you hurt?"


Seth shook his head. "We were too late." 


Briana nodded as she reached for the reins of the horse that Seth was leading, but he pulled it back. "Seth," Briana whispered into his ear. "The protection spell?"


Seth stopped to look into her eyes and shook his head. "It didn't work, okay? Dracon's witch took the spell off."
