Chapter 119: Ambush, Part 3

Dracon and his men flew through the mid-afternoon sky, searching the landscape below, following the main road out of Cambria when they spotted the recruiting knights, headed at a steady pace away from Cambria. Sir John looked up and spotted the dragons flying toward them.

"At arms, men!" Sir John yelled. "Prepare for battle!" All of the knights unsheathed their swords. "We are outnumbered, but strike only upon my order!"

The black Dracon dragon was the first to land, followed by several of his men. Red firefly lights swooped in, claiming Dracon's body, causing him to morph and change until his body pulled together into a man. His men stayed as dragons behind him.

"Well, well," Sir John said. "I should have known that it would be you, Dracon"

Dracon laughed. "So, on a recruiting mission, I see?"

"Not that it is your business, but we are going for supplies for the castle," Sir John lied as a smile spread across his face. "And what brings you out on this fine day?"
