"They wanted to know if we'd spoken and if I liked you."

"Liked me?" Her voice was strangely high pitched in her own ear.

"Yes. I told them we had, although briefly and that I thought very highly of you." His voice was a quiet yet strong tenor that caused Bae's mind to tumble about, somewhat disorientated. Somewhere just outside of her focus, she could just make out her two mates' laughter within her mind.

"They asked after your mate, Prince Armel too," he continued, oblivious to the effect he had on her.

"That he was alright but less handsome than me," he replied with a wink, before glancing back to where Armel was walking beside Caspet. The glare on his face told Kori that the Cankurian knew what he had said and he was not impressed. Stifling a smirk, he returned his attention to the Kumari.
