Chapter 83: Seeking Forgiveness

Kael frowned, unsure exactly why his sister would need to meet with an advisor immediately, when they were only a few hours away from their destination, but he kept his thoughts to himself. Instead, he pounded his fist on the ceiling, passing the message to stop along to the driver.

"I'll go grab the advisors, I suppose," Kael said before climbing down from the carriage.

"Do you think they will be angry about Adelaide?" Bae asked, suddenly apprehensive.

"Possibly but I'm sure they will support your decision," Osamu answered.

Hardly any time passed at all before the advisors were entering the carriage. It was strange to see them without their leader and it was clear that they felt unnerved without her in front of them.

They were so used to the bossy Laoshian Princess acting as their spokesperson that now none of them were willing to take up her mantel.

The Cankurian advisor, clearly realising that the others would not speak unless spoken to, cleared his throat.
